My favorite card game to play with friends right now is called Dominion. As anyone who regularly reads these Daily App posts probably knows, I am a grade A sucker for the match-3 genre. Report has iPhone orders on Sept. 12th, launch Sept. 21st

Preorders for the next-generation iPhone will begin on the same day as its announcement, September 12th, with an official launch on the 21st, say sources for iMore. The people add that a second wave of shipments, reaching international markets, will take place the first week of October, most likely October 5th. Making preorders available on the same day as an announcement would be unusually aggressive for an iPhone launch, since even iPhone 4S preorders opened up two days after an event on October 4th last year.

Apple is licensing some of its iOS design patents to Microsoft, the company revealed today during its ongoing trial versus Samsung. A Reuters reporter comments that the information came by way of Boris Teksler, Apple's director of patent licensing and strategy, who explained that the deal also contains an "anticloning" agreement. AT&T source calls for late-September iPhone launch

Two major third-party US retailers, Best Buy and Target, have instituted new price cuts for the iPhone, notes AllThingsD. BBC iPlayer for iOS gets Retina display support for iPad

The BBC has just finished what was probably the best coverage of the Olympic games in the world, but the corporation is not slowing down. Today the BBC released an update to its wildly popular BBC iPlayer app for iOS. The major feature improvement in this update is support for the new iPad's Retina display. Other changes include improved video performance for better playback, bug fixes and "general tidying, so you'll notice even smoother performance," and more Voice Over controls for better accessibility. Filed under: Bauteile Und schon wieder scheint ein weiteres Teil des Komponenten-Puzzles für das kommende neue iPhone aufgetaucht. Diesmal handelt es sich um das Motherboard. Neben dem kleineren SIM-Port sieht man im Vergleich zum existierenden Modell zusätzliche Wireless-Verbindungen. Ob das auf 4G/LTE verweist, bleibt erstmal nur Spekulation. Ist Samsung vielleicht der größte Apple-Fanboy?
