Mit dem iTunes-Update auf Version 8.1 verspricht Apple unter anderem das "Automatische Füllen für manuell verwaltete iPods" - eine nette Funktion, die Shuffle-Besitzer längst kennen: Per Schieberegler lässt sich bestimmen, wie viel Speicherplatz auf dem iPod oder iPhone frei bleiben soll, den Rest füllt iTunes mit einem bunten Musikmix aus der eigenen Mediathek. Während die Option zum automatischen Befüllen beim Shuffle, sobald man diesen in der Quellenliste anwählt, direkt im unteren Bereich des Hauptfensters erscheint, hat Apple die Funktion bei den anderen iPods sowie beim iPhone an weniger prominenter Stelle platziert. Um zu den entsprechenden Bedienelementen zu gelangen, muss man zunächst die manuelle Verwaltung von Musik und Videos aktivieren. Issue: Web browser cannot access common web sites

Description: At times you might run into problems with your Internet browsing running slowly, with sites timing out or only loading halfway. Many times this has to do with a browser-specific problem, and the things to do initially if these problems are encountered are to: empty the cache, delete the history, remove the preference file for the browser, and if all else fails, reset the browser. For Safari this can be done with the "Reset Safari" option in the "Safari" menu.

iTunes 8.1 problems start appearing

The new version of iTunes has a fair share of problems. Previously, MacFixIt reported on some people not being able to access the iTunes store, which for the most part was from initial glitches with the store server upgrades that resolved themselves after a few hours. Now that the software has been out for a day or two, many other people are reporting various problems, with the primary one being the program crashing after it's launched.

Qimonda stoppt Produktion in Dresden zum 1. April

Exploding iPod touch sets kid's pants on fire, melts his underwear, causes untold emotional pain

An Ohio mom is filing a lawsuit against Apple on behalf of her son, whose "iTouch" popped in his pocket and proceeded to torch his pants. He had to be treated for second degree burns on his leg, had a hole burnt through his pants pocket and got an underwear melting to top it all off. Also, according to the lawsuit, "He continues to suffer from both physical and mental conditions which will cause him to suffer pain, mental distress, emotional distress, and otherwise for the rest of his life." Poor kid! In addition to Apple, the lawsuit seemingly randomly names 10 Apple retail employees, and wants $150,000+ and attorney fees in damages. iTunes 8.1 problems start appearing

The new version of iTunes has a fair share of problems. Previously, MacFixIt reported on some people not being able to access the iTunes store, which for the most part was from initial glitches with the store server upgrades that resolved themselves after a few hours. Now that the software has been out for a day or two, many other people are reporting various problems, with the primary one being the program crashing after it's launched.
