Callpod announces portable chargers coming to retailers
Callpod has announced its line of portable chargers will be available at Best Buy stores. The companyís set of chargers include the Fueltank Uno and Fueltank Duo, along with the original Chargepod six-in-one multi-device charger. Both the Fueltank Uno and Duo feature a rechargeable lithium ion battery that enables users to charge small electronic devices without the need of an outlet. Each charger comes with device specific adapters capable of supporting over 3,000 electronic items.

Signatur in Mail
Eine sehr hilfreiche Funktion ist wohl die Signaturfunktion in Mail. Warum also unter jede E-Mail “Mit freundlichen Grüßen” schreiben? Und was ist, wenn man dies einmal vergisst? Signaturen in E-Mails eignen sich sehr gut um zum Beispiel einen Gruß oder geschäftliche Kontaktinformationen anzuhängen, die man selbst nicht immer und immer wieder niederschreiben möchte.

Lautstärkeregelung verfeinern
Normalerweise lässt sich die Lautstärke in Mac OS in 16 Stufen grob einstellen. Wer diese Regelung gern feiner hätte, kann die Lautstärke mit einem ShortCut auch in 64 Stufen, also nahezu stufenlos, einstellen.
Dazu einfach Shift + Alt + Lauter/Leister drücken und die 16 Lautstärkestufen lassen sich in jeweils 4 weitere unterteilen. Beispielsweise sind die Stufen

Kalender über Macbay freigeben
Einige möchten Ihren Kalender veröffentlichen um diesen später woanders wieder zu abonnieren. In diesem Tutorial zeigen wir Euch, wie Ihr einen iCal-Kalender auf einem FTP von Macbay veröffentlicht. Freigegebenen iCal-Kalender auf dem iPhone abonnieren
Um einen auf Macbay veröffentlichten iCal-Kalender auf den iPhone zu abonnieren, müssen noch einige kleine Einstellungen am iPhone vorgenommen werden.
Vorraussetzung ist dabei mindestens iPhone OS 3.0
Ihr müsst ihm iPhone unter “Einstellungen” -> “Mail, Kontakte, Kalender” -> “Accounts” einen Account hinzufügen. Dort wählt Ihr “Andere“, da wir keinen definierten Service wie Google oder MobileMe nutzen möchten.

Nikon D3s with 1080p video rumored for release next month
This sort of burst out of nowhere today, but word is that a new Nikon D3s will hit on October 15 -- the crew at NikonRumors puts it at "99 percent probability." The D3s is expected to add 1080p video and an odd 14fps frame rate to the D3, as well as a 1.6x crop mode, but other than that we don't know too much. AT&T greift Google an
Auch wenn es hier um Google Voice geht - mit der iPhone-Anwendung hat das nichts zu tun und AT&T hilft auch nicht Apple. Die Vorstellungen der FCC zum Thema Netzneutralität sind das Thema und nach den jüngsten Äußerungen hat AT&T Nachteile. Zukünftig soll es keine guten und bösen Bits mehr geben, den Providern soll untersagt werden, Teile des Internets abzubremsen, oder ganze Dienste ohne Information an den Anwender zu sperren. Die Regeln sollen auch für das mobile Internet gelten.

Acer's Ion-boasting Aspire Revo nettop now shipping from Newegg
It's been a bit of a wait, but nettop enthusiasts are sure to be happy to hear this one. Acer's NVIDIA Ion-powered Aspire Revo is now shipping from Newegg. The nettop -- which boasts a 1.6GHz Intel Atom 230 processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 160GB hard drive and Windows XP Home Edition -- got itself a pretty solid review from Engadget back in April, though we did have some gripes about the CPU. Intel's Light Peak 10Gb bus standard is actually Apple's
Engadget has an interesting little extra information on the Light Peak 10Gb bus standard that Intel curiously demonstrated on a Hackintosh this week. Now we know why they used a 'Hackintosh' - it actually wasn't a Hackintosh but a real Apple Blue Motherboard.
It turns out that Apple has developed the standard and was instrumental in bringing it on board over at Intel. Instrumental in this case means Steve Jobs aguing with Intel chief Paul Paul Otellini about getting the product into new motherboards.
10Gbs is fast. It is 10 times faster than Gigabit Ethernet (and is duplex meaning both tx and rx ar 10Gb as the same time). It is also faster than the DisplayPort connector that connects Appel'sdispalys. The video below shows a video card driving an HD monitor as well as a 2 GB file copy all happe

Atomic Zune HD explodes all over Ebay
Hey, remember that totally wild, awesome looking "Atomic" Zune HD we spied evidence of in the source files a week or so ago? Well, we later saw an image or two of it, but now one's shown up in the flesh on ebay -- and for a starting bid of a mere 265 bones you might be able to snag it! This one's a 32GB model, and while we still don't know if it's going to be officially released or not, we get the feeling that it probably will. Regardless, we'd advise starting a bidding war anyway. Intel's Light Peak an Apple-created technology?
Intel's recently unveiled 10-gigabit Light Peak connection standard was actually created at Apple's specific request, according to a major leak. While pitched at IDF as an Intel-made design, the fiber optic connection is now said to have been the direct result of talks between Apple founder Steve Jobs and Intel chief Paul Otellini. Engadget claims that Apple wants a single, high-speed connection standard that would not only take the place of FireWire or USB but also the video and Ethernet signals.

Review: Jabra Halo Bluetooth stereo headset
Stereo Bluetooth headsets are often exercises in compromise: to be discreet they have to sacrifice sound quality, and to achieve sound quality they're often as large as the largest headphones. Jabra's Halo is different: they use flat-panel, over-ear drivers that should deliver more power without being ungainly.
