New iPhones to come in 4,8,16,32GB varieties?
Engadget's sources say that new iPhones will come in just about every size imaginable.
we're hearing from a trusted source that new iPhones in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB capacities just garnered approval by the PCS Type Review Certification Board, the standards body responsible for certificating handsets for use with some carriers (AT&T, for instance)
Wow. If so, that 4GB model is going to have a low starting price point. That might make the Androids and Pres a harder sell.

Sony Ericsson ditching Memory Stick Micro cards in favor of MicroSD
Sony Ericsson already tipped its hand by including nothing but plain old microSD in its recently announced Satio, Yari and Aino phones (not to mention the K850 even further back), but it looks like TrustedReviews has now gotten the official word straight from the source: SE is dropping Sony's own Memory Stick Micro format (or M2) in favor of the decidedly more standard microSD. BFG inadvertently outs new Intel Core i7 950 / 975 CPUs in Phobos gaming PC
So, here's an interesting one. Intel has yet to officially launch the two newest members of its Core i7 crew, but that little factoid isn't stopping BFG Technologies from doing the honors. Today, the company has introduced its freshest gaming rig, the Phobos, complete with Core i7 950 (Phobos Advanced) and Core i7 975 (Phobos Elite) CPU options. Furthermore, BFG is claiming that these new machines are the first ever to offer one-touch CPU and GPU overclocking, as all that can be handled on the front-mounted touch panel on the tower itself. Heck, there's even an integrated iPhone / iPod dock on the top of this bad boy. The Phobos rigs a

Toshiba NB205 hands-on, looking rather sweet
Laptop's just put up its hands-on of Toshiba's latest 10.1-inch netbook, the NB205. They're giving it pretty high marks as far as design goes, calling the keyboard and trackpad "stellar," and the battery "promising." It boasts an LED-backlit LCD which they're pretty fond of, and we have to say we're really liking the metal look ourselves. The NB205 will come in two configurations, with the higher-end boasting an Intel Atom N280 CPU, 1GB of RAM and an 160GB hard drive with Windows XP Home. The lower end model will come in pink, blue, white and brown for $349 (it's got a plastic, non-island style keyboard), while the metal, higher end model will come only in black and will run $399. News re the Apple Store in Rue Halevy
This weekend, we passed by the place destined to be the second Paris Apple Store after the one at the Louvre. Things have started to move a bit.
A building permit has been posted, confirming information that the Store will be below a hotel. All the visual accesses were covered, thus a photograph is impossible.
We know however that they have taken some dumpsters of rubble out of the building. This store is still far from the opening, contrary to the Store at the Louvre that one hopes to be opened this summer.
According to other information, we learned that Apple would have started to recruit the personnel for its shops. We will t

Psion and Intel have solved their problem with the name netbook
With the arrival of the small laptops, the term NetBook is in general use to the great pleasure of Intel who provides the essential "hardware" of these machines, however also Psion indicated that this name belonged to them. Psion has not hesitated to threaten those who used this name, Intel at the head. However, according to Blogee, the two companies succeeded in finding agreement. Psion gives up using this name once for all, leaving with Intel and its partners a free field to make netbook into a generic term.
We do not know the amount of the cheque which was signed, but it will certainly have given pleasure to Psion who do not make anything much right now.

A tidy Desktop can lead to a faster Mac
After a short time using your Mac it can be easy to acquire many files--pictures, videos, songs, e-mail downloads, and more. Because the information most of us receive is now available so quickly, we often do not get the opportunity to sort through and organize these files properly. What inevitably happens is that our Desktop becomes cluttered with all sorts junk--a habit that can slow your Macs computing power.
