You know what's hard to find these days? Consistency and reliability -- in anything, really. But we've learned that when MIT touches something, it not only gets done, but it gets done right. Thus, we're absolutely elated to hear that a few of its students have dreamed up a fully autonomous greenhouse, utilizing real plants, sensors and gardening robots to ensure the greenest, most healthy crop possible. Wacom Intuos4 tablet caught out of the box, in the wild
Still no official word on its existence, but one forum poster happened to stumble upon an out-of-the-box display for the Wacom Intuos4 pen tablet while browsing through a brick-and-mortar Future Shop. Lucky for us, he thought to snap a few pics, albeit 'shopped to appear in the traditional blurrycam art style. Seit ein paar Tagen gibt es neue Bestimmungen für kostenpflichtige Programme im App Store. Diese betreffen nicht nur die Entwickler, sondern auch die Nutzer: Sie besagen nämlich, dass diese bis zu 90 Tage nach dem Kauf das Recht haben, die jeweiligen Apps gegen Geldrückerstattung umzutauschen.

US-Studie: Internet schlägt erstmals Zeitung

Internet Explorer 8 scheitert im Browser-Test

Zu langweilig: Dells iPhone-Killer scheitert schon vor Markteinführung
Einen wahren "iPhone-Killer" zu erfinden, ist kein leichtes Ziel. Das wissen viele Hersteller, die sich seit dem Einschlag des Apple-Telefons auf dem Smartphone-Markt um selbiges bemühen. Nun sorgt auch Dell für fragwürdige Schlagzeilen, denn der PC-Hersteller scheint es mit seinen Smartphone-Prototypen nicht einmal in die Verkaufsregale zu schaffen. Apple bietet 17'' iMac für Schüler und Studenten an
"Tippfehler oder Absicht?", fragen sich aufmerksame Leser des aktuellen Apple-Education-Newsletters. Dieser preist nämlich nicht nur die im März vorgestellten neuen iMacs an, sondern verweist auch auf ein zusätzliches 17-Zoll-Modell für 899 US-Dollar. Auch auf den Apple-Webseiten lässt sich ein entsprechender Verweis finden und bestätigt den Verdacht: Eigens für den Bildungs-Bereich hat Apple seine iMac-Reihen mit dem 17-Zoller ergänzt.

Scammer shuffles Apple out of 9,000 iPods
For whatever reason, Apple's iPod ends up in the middle of quite a few crimes. The latest story, however, is even more extreme than usual. Nicholas Arthur Woodhams, a 23 year old from Kalamazoo, Michigan, was recently slapped upside the gord with federal charges of fraud and money laundering after he managed to con Apple into shipping him around 9,000 iPod shuffles. As the story goes, he managed to somehow correctly guess thousands of valid shuffle serial numbers and have replacements shipped to him; once they arrived, he sold them for less than MSRP to excited buyers, all while giving Appl

Researcher finds electrical stimulation key to rehabilitating paralyzed limbs
We've seen the wonders of electrical stimulation before, so it's no real shock (ahem) to hear that a University of Florida engineer has figured out a method to combine that very tactic with sophisticated computer learning technology in order to assist Earthlings in regaining "more precise, more life-like control of paralyzed limbs." Reportedly, the research could help around 700,000 Americans who suffer from strokes and 11,000 from cord injuries each year. ASUS CEO: Fold / Unfold laptop will cost between $1,000 and $1,500
