TechCrunch was certain that rumors of a pending honest-to-goodness Google Phone were the real deal, and now according to the site, Google employees are already tweeting with the devices in hand. If you believe what you see on Twitter, Google drones were given the HTC-designed handsets at an all-hands staff event, and the phone is quite a looker. Tetra the micromouse needs no cheese, completes maze in new record time (video)

Lab rats beware -- there's a new turbo-charged robotic cousin of yours on the block. This little autonomous fellow, Tetra, has just wowed micromouse hobbyists with a 4.766-second finish time in a recent demonstration, beating the previous All Japan Micromouse contest record by a big margin of 1.6 seconds. Sadly, Tetra wasn't the winner of this year's contest as it failed to complete the final Expert Class event -- probably something to do with the lighting conditions which affected its tracking in the maze. iPhone sales hit 90,000 in S. Korea, expect 700,000 sales in 2010 - report

iPhone sales in South Korea appear to be off the charts, with local carrier KT claiming “some 90,000 new iPhone subscribers,” so far. These figures include the 53,000 iPhones pre-ordered prior to launch, and is prompting the carrier to ensure it ties a deal for the next-gen iPhone. The device went on sale in the country on November 28. What’s also interesting about these figures as that they seemingly propel Apple to the top of the smartphone charts in the country, which apparently boasts some 400,000 smartphone users, according to The Korea Times. Leave it to the gung ho gang at Android and Me to do some clever Googling and discovering Motorola's web based Android app store, Shop4apps. The store has since been removed / made hidden, but not before we got a good glimpse at the whole shebang. There's a MyLocker section to check your download history, the ability to re-download and transfer aspps to a new phone, and a special MotoAppstore client for downloading and installing the apps (which unfortunately wasn't working yet). Renovierung im iTunes Store: Apple hat die Darstellung im App Store jetzt an die bereits längere Zeit überarbeitete Optik im Musikbereich angepasst. Die Präsentation wirkt jetzt offener und heller, teils allerdings auch etwas unstrukturierter. Verantwortlich dafür sind die gekürzten und auf Wunsch ausklappbaren Beschreibungstexte im oberen Fensterbereich. Die einzelnen Textzeilen wirken oft etwas verloren, zudem ist die Lesbarkeit dank fehlender Umbrüche bei einem breit aufgezogenen iTunes-Fenster durch sehr lange Zeilen erschwert. Hier müssen vermutlich einige Entwickler ihre Texte anpassen. Das auf das 1,7fache vergrößerte Programmsymbol dominiert nun nun den oberen Fensterbereich. Intel's Atom D510, D410 processors get benchmarked

Intel's Pine Trail may not be out in full force just yet, but it looks like German website CarTFT has gotten ahold of a couple of Intel's latest processor / motherboard combos (intended primarily for nettops) and gone ahead and published a few early benchmarks. As you may have expected, however, the boards don't exactly represent a huge leap over current systems in terms of performance -- especially when compared to an Atom 330 processor paired with an Ion chipset. Threads launches notebook bags with leather, knotted designs

Danish design company Threads has launched its first line of designer notebook bags, with designs focused on simplicity and a maintaining a positive economic impact. The bags are produced in small-scale factories located in South Korea, with hand-stitching completed in Vietnam. The new products include the Journalcase, Shouldercase, Grannybag and Natural.

ASUS Eee Box EB1501 primed for $479 Amazon pre-order

We'd been wondering when ASUS' NVIDIA Ion and optical drive packing Eee Box EB1501 would touch down on US soil, and lo and behold today it's showing face for all those eager enough to pre-order. The device is available at Amazon for not a dollar less than $479 (though it does have free shipping), and if you'll recall, the box is boasting a 1.6GHz Intel Atom dual core N330, NVIDIA Ion graphics, 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive. aTV Flash 4 improves Couch Surfer Pro, Apple TV support

Fire Core has released an update to its Apple TV enhancement software, aTV Flash. Version 4.0.3 integrates an improved Couch Surfer Pro interface, featuring a new layout and additional navigation options, along with full support for Apple's Remote app for the iPhone and iPod touch. Users can navigate the Internet from Apple TV using the mobile device as a touchpad and keyboard.
