Apple quits US Chamber of Commerce in pro-Green protest
Apple is using its clout to force a change of attitude toward environmental matters at the highest levels of the US government, today announcing it intends pulling out of the US Chamber of Commerce because of that chamber’s “strident criticism of plans to reduce US greenhouse gas emissions”, reports The Washington Post.
It’s a serious protest at the Chamber’s ineffectiveness at accepting and acting on the dangers of climate change.
In a letter to the Chamber president, Apple VP, Catherine Novelli said: "Apple supports regulating greenhouse gas emissions, and it is frustrating to find the Chamber at odds with us in this effort." As a result, Nov

QNAP adds four-bay NAS for home users
QNAP furthered its push into mainstream network-attached storage on Monday with the TS-410. While resembling its work-oriented drives, the NAS is meant for the home and has built-in DLNA and UPnP servers to share media over a local network, including to the PS3, Xbox 360 or to iPhones and iPod touch devices through an iPhone app. It also brings BitTorrent, FTP and HTTP downloaders to grab files no matter which computers are online.

Huge surprise here: Apple's HR puts together an offer packet that is packaged like any other Apple product. Beautifully. The applicant posts his "welcome to Apple" packet proudly for others to enjoy. Sure beats the beat up manilla envelope filled with badly Xeroxed form letters that we're used to.

HTC Dragon Android device surfaces in firmware build, could pack 1GHz processor
This one's about as early as it gets, but what you're looking at above is purported to be a screenshot of a firmware build for a hereto unheard of Android device called the HTC Dragon. Now, that's interesting enough in and of itself, but the real kicker is that the phone is said to pack a 1GHz processor (most likely Snapdragon), which should help make HTC's Sense UI snappier than ever -- the rumored 800 x 480 display certainly doesn't hurt things either. Nisus updates Writer Pro, Writer Express, Thesaurus
Nisus has updated its two word processor packages, releasing Writer Pro 1.3.1 and Writer Express 3.3.1. Both updates fix compatibility issues with Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Writer Express has been given a new document manager and a style library, as well as the ability to attach an active document to a message in either Mail or Entourage. Similarly new is a selection history panel, and an option to automatically capitalize the first word of each sentence during typing.

Adobe promises Flash development of non-Flash iPhone apps
Adobe is well into the production of updated Flash Authoring software, allowing the creation of iPhone apps, says an Adobe product manager. Mike Chambers notes that a private beta of the new software is already in effect, and some titles built with Flash have already reached the App Store, such as Fickleblox and Trading Stuff. A public beta of the tool will be released by the end of the year, alongside Flash CS5.

GameStop listing points to November 3rd launch, $100 price for 802.11n Xbox 360 adapter
We already had some indication that Microsoft's new Wireless N adapter for the Xbox 360 would pack the same $100 MSRP as its predecessor, but it looks like a new GameStop listing has now all but confirmed it, and the other big remaining detail: a release date. Unless someone seriously got their wires crossed, it looks like the adapter will start shipping on November 3rd, which we presume is also the date that the MSRP of the previous generation WiFi adapter will officially drop (to $80, last we heard), 'cause GameStop sure isn't going to be moving many of them at the $100 it's asking right now.[Via

D-Link ships all-in-one DIR-685 router
D-Link has began shipping its Xtreme N DIR-685 all-in-one router that was first introduced back at CES in January. The device has a built-in draft N Wi-Fi module that allows it to communicate with network attached storage devices and a 3.2-inch LCD screen that lets it play streaming video or double as a digital photo frame. The screen can also display device status information via graphs and gauges. D-Link's SharePort feature lets networked computers share printers and other USB devices.

Paid apps now live in webOS App Catalog, Air Hockey comes first
The first paid apps are finally starting to filter into Palm's App Catalog, giving us all another great reason (after our daily caffeine fix has been properly handled, of course) to blow a buck or two every day of our lives. First up is none other than Air Hockey, an app genre that seems to be taking every platform by storm -- we never really thought that the true Dynamo experience could translate well to a couple of fingers on a phone's display, but we're just $1.99 away from finding out for sure.

Adobe-Ankündigung: Flash CS5 macht iPhone-Apps

3M intros 3D optical film for handheld displays
The optical systems division of 3M on Monday said it will soon sell a newly developed 3D optical film for handheld devices that will let users view stereoscopic 3D images on handhelds without having to wear 3D glasses. Vikuiti uses directional backlight technology to send and focus left and right images sequentially into the viewerís eyes. This allows for full resolution to be displayed for each eye. It only requires one LCD panel and operates at a fast 120Hz refresh rate that more naturally mimics what the human eye sees.

PSP Go already discounted in the UK
Oop. So much for the PSP Go's premium "aspirational" pricing -- several UK retailers have already discounted Sony's newest handheld to £199 ($319) after launch weekend. That's not a massive drop from the £224 ($358) MSRP, but it's still pretty notable, especially considering the PSP-3000 has an MSRP of £139 ($221). No wonder Sony thinks the Go will drive PSP-3000 purchases -- too bad it couldn't figure out a way to make the Go interesting enough to sell itself.

QNAP debuts 'low cost' TS-410 Turbo NAS for home use
QNAP's various NAS devices may not do much to distinguish themselves from one another based on appearances, but the company's apparently hoping that's its new TS-410 model will attract a bit more interest nonetheless, and its aiming it squarely at home and home office users. Helping it in that respect is its relatively low-cost price tag, "just" $449 (sans hard drives), which still gets you plenty of NAS-ness, even if it may be just slightly behind the latest and greatest. Psystar to begin licensing Mac OS X virtualization
Mac cloner Psystar has announced a new OEM licensing program, designed to spread the company's virtualization software. Subscribers to the program gain access to the company's Darwin Universal Boot Loader (DUBL), which allows users to install Mac OS X on a PC, instead of just an Apple-branded Mac. Users can in fact have up to six operating systems on a computer, but hardware certified by Psystar must at least have Linux, Windows Vista or Windows 7 pre-installed.

HP Envy 13 review
In more ways than one, the HP Envy 13 seems like a "new generation" of PC laptop for HP or even the industry. Intentional or not it bears more in resemblance with Apple's lineup than its own predecessors, it's part of the very first wave of computers with Windows 7 pre-installed, it places a large emphasis on battery life but still manages great performance, and it's a "luxury" PC that actually provides some pretty good excuses for its inflated pricetag. A-DATA's SH93 hard drive is probably more daring than you are
A-DATA already has slim and colorful portable hard drives covered, but it looks like it's now done one better with its new SH93 model, which adds a dash of ruggedness for good measure. That includes waterproofing compliant with IEC 529 IPX7 standards (or up to one meter deep for 30 minutes), shock-proofing to MIL-STD-810F standards for drops and general jostling and, of course, a bright yellow or red rubber enclosure that's almost begging you to toss it across the room. News: Adobe announces iPhone app export in Flash CS5
At its MAX developer conference, Adobe has announced that it will offer an iPhone and iPod touch application export option in Adobe Flash Professional CS5. The feature will allow Flash developers to use the same source code used to deliver applications on the Adobe AIR and Flash Player 10 platforms to create native iPhone applications which can be submitted to Apple and sold via the App Store. It probably isn't what you think. Adobe is making middleware that allows developers to port their Flash apps to the iPhone. Flash 10.1 allows you to "Export Project to native iPhone application." Wow.

While the number of Apple-owning households continues to grow, the vast majority of those Macs are sharing space with at least one Windows-based PC, according to a new study.
The NPD Group said Monday that its online survey found that 12 percent of households with a computer have at least one Mac, up from 9 percent a year ago. Nearly 85 percent of those with a Mac, though, also have at least one Windows-based PC.

Apple, Woolworth's in Australian trademark dispute, media in hysterically confused panic
Oh boy. So if you haven't already seen some news on this, Apple's opposing the formal registration of the Australian grocery store Woolworth's logo, pictured above. We'll be honest: we saw this story when it was first reported last night by The Age, and we passed on it. Why? Because while we're not experts in Australian trademark law, we happen to have an ex-US trademark attorney on staff (cough), and the Australian system is similar enough to the US system that a simple notice of opposition just isn't that interesting. Windows Mobile app store starts with just 34 apps
Microsoft today surprised Windows Mobile users with an early but low-profile launch for Windows Marketplace for Mobile. The app store is meant as the official gateway for apps on Windows Mobile 6.x devices, including 6.5 models like the HTC Pure. However, the portal so far only has 34 apps, 10 of which are games, and so far carries paid apps with average prices above those found in the iPhone's App Store.

Sony's PlayStation Motion Controller now codenamed Sphere?
Sony may still have officially been using the less-than-imaginative "Motion Controller" name for its, um, motion controller at the Tokyo Game Show last month, but it looks like some developers working with the technology weren't sticking as close to the script, and may have revealed the project's proper codename. As Joystiq notes, Sega producer Yasuhito Baba referred to the device as "Sphere" during an interview at the show, and Polyphony Digital's Kazunori Yamauchi also seemed to respond to the "Sphere" name without missing a beat when asked if Gran Turismo would support the peripheral. Microsoft is exploring the concept of multi-touch mice, a new research paper reveals. The paper is being presented today as part of the User Interface Software and Technology conference, and identifies five different prototypes, each based on different sensor technologies. The timing is suspicious but Microzoft this week got together all of their Multi-touch mouse work and put it on display over at Engadget. Apple is widely expected to put forth new multi-touch capable mice, along with new, smaller keyboards, MacBooks, Minis and iMacs, on any given Tuesday.

Active Media shows external SSDs with USB 3.0 speeds
Solid state and USB storage drive maker Active Media Products recently introduced its Aviator 312 line of USB 3.0 external solid state SSDs. The drives are available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities and support read speeds of as much as 240MBps and write speeds of 160MBps. The drive is one of the first USB devices to reach its peak speeds through the USB 3.0 interface, which allows transfer speeds of up to about 5Gbps, or about ten times faster than USB 2.0.

Microsoft Research shows off multitouch mouse prototypes
Rather odd timing, given some recent developments in the Apple camp, but Microsoft Research has just surfaced some of its incredibly wild multitouch mouse prototypes. Each one uses a different touch detection method, and at first glance all five seem to fly in the face of regular ergonomics. The craziest two are probably "Arty," which has two articulated arms to cradle your thumb and index finger, with each pad housing its own optical sensor for mission-critical pinching gestures, and "Side Mouse" which is button free and actually detects finger touches in the table immediately in front of the palm rest. QuickerTek releases MacBook Air Auto and Airline Charger
QuickerTek has released a new MacBook Air power charger, the Auto and Airline Charger. The charger includes an adapter for use in an automobile or an airplane. The product differs from Apple's chargers that are included with every MacBook Air, with the ability to power the laptop while simultaneously charging the internal battery. Sprint launches 4G service in 10 new markets
Wireless provider Sprint on Monday announced the expansion of its 4G ultra high speed mobile broadband service to ten new markets. Sprint's 4G network offers download speeds up to 12Mbps in peak conditions and encounters real-world speeds closer to 2-4Mbps. It is significantly faster than 3G, with Sprint claiming up to 10 times faster speeds than 3G services. Psystar ups the ante: Now making Snow Leopard Virtualization OEM program for other manufacturers
Psystar is perhaps going a little too far here? Today, they've announced that they aren't just selling Mac Clones. They are certifying other maker's PCs for their new virtualization technology for Snow Leopard - effectively making their systems Mac OSX compatible.
They are touting a technology called the Darwin Universal Boot Loader (DUBL) and will have three versions: Desktop, Server or Mobile. Once a product is certified, consumers can purchase it off the shelf or through standard channels and when labeled Psystar Certified would allow the installation of Snow Leopard simply by inserting the retail OS X DVD. They also tout a separate "Safe Update" program which will allow special versions of the software updates to be pushed.

12% of US homes have Macs; most also have Windows
Over 12 percent of all US homes have at least one Mac but aren't exclusive to the platform, the NPD Group found in its latest Household Penetration study. The number is a large jump from nine percent just last year, but about 85 percent of these also have at least one Windows PC as well. These homes are also more likely to have three or more computers, at 66 percent, versus just 29 percent for Windows-only homes.

Kevin Rose, the founder of Digg.com, has confirmed the development of a Digg iPhone app in an interview held at a FOWA (Future of Web Apps) event in London. Das Keyboards are pretty well known for the tactile and auditory assault they delight fingers and ears with. Well, the mechanical Ultimate S -- an updated model which has just surfaced -- is just as tactile and noisy as all the other models, but it's also got a few added features, including two USB ports, an external PS / 2 adapter, plus full 'n' key rollover with PS / 2. Sony also transmits power without wires
Following Palm and now Dell, Sony has presented its technology for the transmission of power without using wires. It is more ambitious; they obtained in the laboratory a transfer over 50 cm or up to 80 cm with an extension unit.
Contrary to other technologies, the system does not function via induction, but uses magnetic resonance (a bit like MRI, the medical imaging considered to be without any dangers). The advantage is important a metal object placed in the field would not be heated contrary to the systems using induction.

Deutsche Telekom trennt sich von unseriösen Vertriebspartnern
Die Deutsche Telekom hat bei Kontrollen unseriöse Vertriebsmethoden von Partnern im Festnetzbereich festgestellt. Vier Vertriebspartner hätten die Verpflichtungen in Sachen Datenschutz und Vertriebsmethoden nicht eingehalten, teilte der Konzern mit. Die Telekom habe deshalb Strafanzeige erstattet und die Zusammenarbeit beendet beziehungsweise Abmahnungen erteilt. Zudem fordert der Konzern die Rückzahlung von Provisionen und erhebt Vertragsstrafen - insgesamt in Höhe von rund 1,5 Millionen Euro.

Es ist grün, groß und gefährlich: Godzilla. Die Wurzeln des japanischen Filmmonsters reichen tief in die Filmgeschichte zurück, denn der Regisseur Inoshiro Honda lernte sein Handwerk beim Meisterregisseur Akira Kurosawa und stand diesem auch bei seinem Werk „Kurosawas Träume“ zur Seite. Während der erste „Gojira“ noch als personifizierte Atombombe Japan verwüstete und durch seinen dokumentarischen Schwarz/Weiß-Stil eine ernste Angelegenheit war, zeichneten sich die Fortsetzungen fast durchgängig durch eine ungeheure Naivität aus.

US Home Mac ownership hits 12 percent - NPD
The NPD Group's 2009 Household Penetration Study, reveals that approximately 12 per cent of all US computer owning households own a Mac, up from 9 per cent in 2008.
The researchers note to that while Apple ownership is growing, the mix favors mixed system environments. Of those 12 per cent, nearly 85 percent also own a Windows-based PC.

The SSD will replace the hard disks (with platters) by 2012 ?
Ryan Mr. Petersen CEO of OCZ told Fudzilla that he thought that SSD disks would supplant the hard disks (using platters) in term speed, capacity and even price by 2012.
To support his remarks he proposed a roadmap of the SSD manufacturers and the suppliers of memory. They plan to pass soon to NAND MLC memory storing 3 bits by cell (against 2 currently) and then 4. The capacity would be thus doubled for similar production costs. If one also takes into account that in two years time the density of the memories should also double. Since the SSD is faster and uses less energy, once the price comes down the end is in sight for the spinning platters.
However we are a bit skeptical concerning the price drops. Today, a 2,5" hard disk costs arbout 0,15€ GB. But after all, OCZ do not manufacturer hard disks, so it is not unexpected that they push the SSD.

Wolfson takes hit after losing Apple contract
Scottish manufacturer Wolfson Microelectronics is projecting year-over-year financial declines for its fourth quarter, says the Financial Times. Revenue is expected to be between $33 and $34 million, flat relative to the second and third quarters of 2009, but down from $37.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2008. The trouble is attributed mainly to a broken relationship with Apple; while Wolfson chips are featured in the iPhone 3G, there are none to be found in the iPhone 3GS.

Acidmods moves a few buttons and a joystick on Xbox 360 controller
Hey, not all mods are outlandish and creepy. Some are just plain old utilitarian. Acidmods got a request for a modded Xbox 360 controller that would move the X, Y, A, and B buttons and the right joystick. The fully functional finished product looks a little odd to the eyes, of course, but it's also done so well that it looks like a stock unit. As you'll see in the video after the break, the modded controller would take some getting used to for most of us, but it sure has character.

Vonage releases iPhone, BlackBerry VoIP apps
Vonage plans to release iPhone and BlackBerry applications on Monday afternoon Eastern time, Reuters says. The apps should make Vonage's VoIP service portable on any American BlackBerry or iPhone. Unlike most VoIP offerings however, the apps do not attempt to provide free calling. Netgear intros 802.11n Wi-Fi router with Linux
Netgear this morning challenged Cisco in customizable routers with a new Linux-based RangeMax model. The WNR3500L has the same 802.11n Wi-Fi, gigabit Ethernet and USB device sharing as the regular WNR3500 but runs on an open-source Linux platform and will take common unofficial router firmware like DD-WRT, OpenWRT and Tomato. These give it much more customization than the proprietary OS and can bring features that Netgear wouldn't introduce itself.

HYPOLED, an 18-month-old project tasked with creating OLED microdisplays for upcoming pico projectors, has just released a report of its recent progress. US Mac ownership climbs 25 per cent - NPD
The NPD Group's 2009 Household Penetration Study, reveals that approximately 12 per cent of all US computer owning households own a Mac, up from 9 per cent in 2008.
The researchers note to that while Apple ownership is growing, the mix favors mixed system environments. Of those 12 per cent, nearly 85 per cent also own a Windows-based PC.

“Multiple computer ownership is a common thread in Apple computer households, with 66 per cent of households owning three or more computers, compared to just 29 per cent of Windows PC households. Apple owning households are decidedly more mobile as well, with 72 percent of them owning a notebook, whereas only 50 percent of households that have a Windows PC own a notebook.

Adobe at its MAX show launched Flash 10.1, a major update to its plugin that promises video on devices that normally haven't been capable. The release adds hardware graphics acceleration on computers and should make HD Flash video possible on netbooks and ultraportables and standard definition possible on smartphones. NVIDIA already promises that its GeForce, Ion and Tegra chipsets will speed up the Flash update when available.

Now that the Cell-powered cat's out the bag, we had a chance to get up close and personal with a number of its 55-inch Cell Regza 55X1 LCD TVs on hand at the CEATEC show floor. It's certainly not the thinnest flat-screen panel, but the screen was crisp and colors bright. The Cell and most of the heavy duty components were housed in a separate Cell Box -- frankly, it was disappointing just how large the box was, out-sizing even the original PlayStation 3. For reasons that weren't quite made clear to us, the 3TB of storage were divided among four separate drives, two 1TB and two 500GB. None of them are accessible, leaving you only an external USB drive as an expansion option.

Apple’s tablet may be powered by a PA Semi chip, claims Jason O’Grady, noting Intel’s May 2008 blunder when it claimed a larger version iPhone would eventually ship using an Intel Atom chip.
Intel later retracted the statement, issuing an apology in which it implied Atom wasn’t suitable for Apple because it was unable to match ARM’s low power demands.

Adobe has revealed a series of alliances and new Flash software which threatens to bring support for its proprietary multimedia software to almost every mobile device - except Apple’s iPhone.
At the MAX conference in Los Angeles Adobe is is demonstrating Flash Player 10.1 for smartphones, a version of mobile Flash that delivers faster rendering, lower memory consumption and all for less battery drain. A beta is expected to be available for Windows Mobile, Palm webOS and desktop systems including Windows, Macintosh and Linux later this year.

Bekanntlich lassen sich Seher von nicht eingetroffenen Prophezeiungen nicht aus der Ruhe bringen. Schließlich sind solche Misserfolge schnell vergessen, während eine tatsächlich eingetroffene Vorhersage zu ewigem Ruhm führen kann. So ist also der 29. September vergangen, ohne dass uns neue iMacs beschert wurden. Bleibt noch die Hoffnung auf den Beginn des kommenden Jahres, da soll es nämlich Tablet-Macs regnen. Schick sieht das Konzept sicher aus, aber ob eine Homescreen-Übersicht im Stil von Exposé bei etlichen Homescreens immer noch übersichtlich wäre, sei dahingestellt. Die sehr schicke, wenn auch leicht absturzfreudige flickr-iPhone-App erschien nun auch im deutschen App Store (iTunes-Link). Zwar ist flickrs mobile Seite für das iPhone bereits hervorragend, doch die kostenlose App bleibt einen Blick wert, zumal der direkte Foto-Upload mit schneller Tag-Vergabe möglich ist. You remember Vonage right? The trailblazing VoiP company is still around and appears at first glance to have instigated a bit of coup in the battle for VoiP calls over AT&T connections. Unfortunately they haven't, at least not yet. Yahoo schaltet Google-Mail-Integration von Xoopit ab
Yahoo hat Nutzer seines Diensts Xoopit darauf hingewiesen, dass es dessen Integration in Google Mail demnächst abstellen wird. Studie: Bis zu 15.000 Arbeitsplätze bei der Telekom in Gefahr
Bei der Deutschen Telekom könnte es in den nächsten drei bis vier Jahren zu einem drastischen Stellenabbau kommen. Palm stellt iTunes-Kompatibilität wieder her
Palm hat mit der Veröffentlichung von webOS 1.2.1 für das Pre wieder die iTunes-Kompatibilität hergestellt. NVIDIAs Fermi soll auch Macs beschleunigen
Bill Dally, Chefentwickler bei NVIDIA, stellt nach einem Bericht von Electronista die Unterstützung der kommenden Grafikkarten mit "Fermi"-Architektur auch für Apple-Rechner mit Mac OS X 10.6 in Aussicht. Dabei steigt die Zahl der Rechenkerne von jetzt 240 auf beachtliche 512 und kann damit noch mehr Arbeit des Hauptprozessors übernehmen. iPhone Dev Team veröffentlicht iPhone-OS-3.1-Jailbreak für iPhone 3GS
Das iPhone Dev Team hat eine aktualisierte Variante seines Jailbreak-Tools Pwnage für iPhone OS 3.1 freigegeben, die zusätzlich zum iPhone und iPod Touch der ersten Generation sowie dem iPhone 3G nun auch das iPhone 3GS und den iPod Touch 2G unterstützt, nicht aber den iPod Touch der dritten Generation. Der Jailbreak funktioniert allerdings nur, wenn die bisher verwendete Firmware 3.0 oder 3.0.1 bereits mit Pwnage modifiziert wurde. Für ein mit iPhone OS 3.1 ausgeliefertes oder auf die offizielle Version 3.1 aktualisiertes Gerät, gibt es bislang noch keine Lösung.

Palm Pre und iTunes-Synchronisation: Unendliche Geschichte
Wem damit gedient ist, wird inzwischen niemand mehr genau sagen können, aber die aktuelle Version von Palms WebOs für den Palm Pre synchronisiert das Palm-Smartphone wieder über iTunes. Jailbreak nun auch für iPhone 3GS und iPod touch 2G mit Firmware 3.1
Wie die Hacker des Dev-Team in ihrem Blog bekannt gegeben haben, erlaubt die Jailbreak-Software Pwnage in Version 3.1.3 nun auch den Freischaltung von iPhone 3GS und iPod touch 2G mit Firmware 3.1. Allerdings ist dies nur unter der Auflage möglich, dass bereits die bisherige Firmware 3.0 oder 3.0.1 mit Pwnage modifiziert wurde. VLC-Player in Version 1.0.2 erschienen
Der VLC-Player ist in Version 1.0.2 für Windows und MacOS X erschienen. Die Quelltexte waren schon Ende September veröffentlicht worden, nun auch die Binaries. It looks like Amazon might be inadvertently letting one of their vendors sell "new" iTunes gift cards for under market value. We have no proof that they aren't real, it just seems a bit suspicious that they send the code via an email and are selling for significantly less than market value. There is no physical "card". EU's new EGNOS GPS system goes active
The EU's Galileo satellite positioning project has been lost in a haze of paperwork for a while, but there's finally some positive news to report: a "precursor" system called EGNOS launched last week, which will provide free positioning over most of the 27 EU states. Apple battles Woolsworth over new logo trademark
Apple has launched a legal challenge against Woolworths, prompted by the latter company's new logo that resembles the infamous Apple symbol, according to The Age. Woolworths, the largest retailer in Australia, insists its new logo is a stylized "W" or a piece of fresh produce. Apple conversely believes the icon is too similar to its own and has set out to convince IP Australia, the Federal Government agency that governs trademarks, to stop Woolworths' application from proceeding.

Apple legal preps trademark case against Woolworths
Apple Legal plans legal action against Australia retailer, Woolworths, over use of a logo the computer company thinks is too similar to its own.
Woolworths insists its logo is no more than a stylised W, but Apple plans a legal challenge all the same. How similar do the two logos appear to you?
As part of the action, Apple Inc. will have to convince IP Australia, the Australian Federal Government agency that governs trademarks, to reject Woolworths' trademark application, filed in August last year.
The issue is Woolworths gradual move to diversify its product offering. Winning the trademark would entitle the retailer to put its logo on all manner of devices, including computers

The Motorola CLIQ hasn't gone on sale yet, but that hasn't stopped a few units from leaking out here and there -- Eldar at mobile-review just posted up one of the most thorough photo previews of the chunky slider we've seen yet.
