Apple seeds iOS 6, Xcode 4.5 gold masters to developers
Apple is now seeding a gold master of iOS 6 to developers. A gold master represents the final version of a piece of software, in this case the firmware that will ship on upcoming deliveries of the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. iTunes ist ein kostenloses Programm von Apple zum Verwalten, Laden und Synchronisieren von Musik, Filmen, Büchern sowie Apps. Die neue Version, bei dem Event zum iPhone 5 angekündigt, wird ein aufgeräumteres Design und eine nahtlose iCloud-Integration bringen.

There might be a Santa Claus, but regarding the mythical animal known as the universal iPhone: there is none. By now, you're probably familiar with Apple's latest earbuds. But are they an improvement over their arguably disposable predecessor, you ask? You bet. Still, they're not going to win out over high-end or even mid-range audio options. Apple hat soeben die finale Version, den so genannten Golden Master (kurz GM), von iOS 6 für die zahlenden Entwickler zum Download bereit gestellt. Die neue Version trägt die Buildnummer 10A403.

Erwartet keine Wunder von den neuen Ohrhörern von Apple, den EarPods. Aber - Hands aufs Herz - wirklich schlecht klangen die nie. Nur gepasst haben sie nur in jedes 5. Ohr. Das ändert sich jetzt. Der Autor kann davon ein Lied singen, Apple hat die neuen Hörer hier in London an uns verteilt und sie sitzen wirklich deutlich besser im Ohr. Der Bass ist da, Höhen auch und in den Mitten passiert wie nicht anders zu erwarten relativ wenig. Einen Preis haben wir noch nicht.

Apple details LTE plans for iPhone 5: true global reach requires three models
So the rumors are true, and the iPhone 5 is indeed offering LTE for regions around the globe. This is no small feat, given the plethora of frequencies used by various carriers worldwide. Neben dem iPhone 5 stellte Apple auf der Keynote auch einen überarbeiteten iPod touch vorgestellt. Wie das iPhone 5 besitzt auch der neue iPod touch ein in die Höhe gezogenes Retina-Display mit einer Bildschirmdiagonale von 4 Zoll.
Das iPhone ohne Telefon und mobile Datenverbindung, landläufig auch iPod touch genannt, wurde im Rahmen der iPhone-5-Vorstellung ebenfalls aktualisiert und verfügt nun über dasselbe 4-Zoll-Display wie Apples Smartphone. 169 Euro wird der neue iPod nano ab Oktober bei uns kosten. Nur noch in einer Größe mit 16 GB erhältlich, nimmt er nach wie vor eine etwas merkwürdige Mittelposition in Apple MP3-Lineup ein. Touchscreen ja, Apps nein, dafür mit Radio. Erstaunlicherweise erinnern uns die neuen Modelle in Details ein wenig an aktuelle Lumia-Smartphones von Nokia, aber das nur nebenbei. Und sonst? Ein MP3-Player eben. Leicht, klein mit ausreichend großem Home-Button (endlich!), aber eben ein MP3-Player.

Microsoft announces Windows Phone 8 SDK preview program, Windows Phone Store replaces Marketplace
Naturally, there's a good amount of anticipation surrounding the release of Windows Phone 8 handsets, but before that day arrives, developers will need proper software to code apps. Microsoft stopped short of releasing the requisite tools, but today, the company announced the Windows Phone 8 SDK preview program -- essentially a way for developers to get in line for when the software becomes available. As is, all developers must submit an application to the Microsoft Connect website by Monday, September 17th, at which point, they'll be provided instructions "the following week" of how and where to download the SDK.

Apple launches incremental iTunes 10.7 update: supports new devices and iOS 6

Electronista attended Sony's Toronto event that marked the debut of several key upcoming products. Chief among them were three new cameras the company wanted to focus on, as all featured Sony's 35mm, 24.3-megapixel full-frame Exmor sensor. Der neue iPod touch kommt im Oktober bei uns in den Handel nd beeindruckt natürlich besonders durch das 4"-Retina-Display. Auch das neue Gehäuse macht einen guten Eindruck, wenn man wirklich unter gar keinen Umständen keine SIM-Karte bei seiner Musik haben will, ist man hier immer noch gut aufgehoben. Die 32GB-Version wird bei uns 319 Euro kosten, die 64GB-Version schlägt mit 419 Euro zu Buche.

Es ist da! Apples iPhone 5 erblickte auf der heutigen Keynote das Licht der Welt. Neben dem lang ersehnten iPhone 4S-Nachfolger stellte Apple eine neue Version von iTunes vor und gab finale Einblicke in das bevorstehende iOS 6-Update. Apple announces new headphones: EarPods
Apple has shipped 600 million sets of its iconic white earbuds, but over the past three years it's taken their design back to the drawing board. The result is the EarPod, a significant redesign.
EarPods are differently shaped compared to the old earbuds, which should mean greater comfort for a wide variety of users. They don't create a seal like in-ear headphones, but the shaping and ports are designed for optimal comfort and sound. There's a sound port in the back for mid-tones, another port in the stem, and the main port pointing directly into the ear canal.
EarPods can be bought by themselves, but they will also be shipping standard with the iPhone 5, new iPod touch, and new iPod nano.

Apple announces new iPod touch with new colors, starting at $299
Apple revamped the iPod touch today, making it thinner and lighter than previous models. It also sports the same 4-inch retina display as the iPhone 5 and the new lightning dock connector. Just like the iPhone 5, the speakers have been moved to the bottom of the device.
Digging deeper inside, the new iPod touch has a dual-core processor and dual-core graphics to drive all those iOS games. Performance will be up to 2x faster than the previous CPU and graphics will increase 7-fold. Battery life is also better, with 40 hours of music and 8 hours of playback. Last but not least is a new dual-band wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0.
Camera-wise the new iPod touch will includes a 5-megapixel sensor with backside illumination and many of the high-end features of the iPhone 5 like a sapphire crystal, five-element lens and Panorama mode. Software features include iPhoto, Siri and AirPlay mirroring.

iTunes getting a major makeover, slated for October release
Love it or hate it, we all spend a lot of time in iTunes on our Macs, iPhones, iPads and what have you. Apple announced a major update for iTunes, calling it "dramatically simpler" for using your own media files, and for navigating the iTunes store.
The new iTunes will look like a large grid, with a simplified UI. Click on any album image, and the screen splits to show all the tracks on the album. Click on a song, and it starts playing. You can move back to your library without closing a playlist, and drag and drop tracks to wherever you want them. iTunes has also added a 'coming next' button so you can change what the next track will be.

Apple announces new iPod nanos
Apple has reinvented the iPod nano. The seventh-generation model bears almost no resemblance to its iPod shuffle-sized predecessor. Instead, its large, widescreen, touchscreen display and tiny home button are more evocative of a tinier version of the iPod touch.
The iPod nano is 5.4 mm thick, 38 percent thinner than the previous nano. It has a 2.5-inch multitouch display, and in addition to music you can look at photos and, in a re-introduced feature, videos.
The iPod nano now has built-in Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming, and it has the new Lightning dock connector. The device has built-in fitness and pedometer functions, so no extra accessories are needed for Nike+.

Apple outs refreshed iPod nano: 2.5-inch screen with multitouch, 38 percent thinner
With news of Apple's shining star, the iPhone 5, out of the way, the company's shifting focus to its other major pillar: the iPod. Now seven generations in, the iPod nano is getting a refresh with a 38-percent thinner profile and svelte 5.4mm thickness. The multitouch screen now measures 2.5-inches across and sports a physical home button right below. Also packed in to this evolutionary PMP leap is an FM tuner with DVR-like functionality for playback control, Bluetooth radio (for wireless streaming support), inbuilt pedometer and, of course, that slimmed-down Lightning dock connector. Apple announces fifth-generation iPod touch: 4-inch screen, 6.1mm thin, Siri included
Today at its iPhone launch event, Apple announced yet another piece of hardware: the fifth-generation iPod touch. As rumored, it has a 4-inch display, the same 326 ppi panel used on the new iPhone 5. On the inside, it packs an A5 chip promising seven times the graphics performance of the last-gen model. The battery is rated for 40 hours of music playback, or eight hours of video. The rear camera has also gotten an upgrade: it's now a 5-megapixel shooter with a backside-illuminated f/2.4 lens. (The front camera is 720p.) Apple's infamous earbuds rebranded for iPhone 5 as 'EarPods'
Yes, finally -- finally -- Apple's years-long headphone debacle may finally be at an end, with the introduction this morning of redesigned earbuds. Their new name: "EarPods." We've yet to get a look at them, but here's hoping they echo the potential leak we saw earlier this month. Apple says the new earphones feature, "a breakthrough design for a more natural fit and increased durability, and an incredible acoustic quality typically reserved for higher-end earphones." As expected with the announcement of the iPhone 5, Apple has lowered the in-contract prices of the iPhone 4S to $99, and the iPhone 4 will now be free. Apple announces redesigned iTunes for Mac, Windows and iOS devices
It's gone through quite a few minor revisions as of late, but Apple has today taken the wraps off a fairly big redesign of not just iTunes for OS X and Windows, but iOS devices as well. The latter will be making its debut with iOS 6 on the 19th. You can expect a simpler interface in all incarnations -- "dramatically simpler," according to Apple's Eddie Cue -- with a carousel up top paired with a flattened grid of icons below. Apple reveals iPhone 5 with 4-inch screen, LTE, Lightning
Apple today announced the iPhone 5. The device is said to be built entirely out of glass and aluminum, and is 18 percent thinner than the iPhone 4S at 7.6mm. One of its signature features though is a larger display, measuring 4 inches with a resolution of 1136x640. To accommodate the change Apple is updating all of its apps; any third-party apps that haven't been updated will display in the center of the screen. The display also uses a full sRGB color gamut, and should have 44 percent more color saturation.

Briefly: Rhapsody update notice, MOTU driver update
Rhapsody has issued a notice to its customers advising them to update to Rhapsody version 2.2.13 before updating to iOS 6. The upcoming Rhapsody release will include a new feature that automatically restores any downloaded songs automatically after updating to a new version of iOS. If a user updates their device before the new Rhapsody app is released they will still be able to restore all of their downloaded content, but will have to do so manually. The updated Rhapsody app has already been submitted to Apple for approval and is expected to be released very soon.

Apple sells over 400M iOS devices in first half of year
Apple started its iPhone 5 event today with news that 400 million iOS devices were sold in the first half of this year. CEO Tim Cook announced the sales figures amongst other statistics at the press conference being held in San Francisco, with the positive statistics being offered as evidence "We are in a Post-PC world."

Passbook: Tickets, Bordkarten und Gutscheine auf einen Blick
Wer heutzutage eine Reise antritt, wird geradezu mit Tickets der verschiedenen beteiligten Unternehmen überschüttet. Sobald man mit mehr als einem Anbieter unterwegs ist, macht es auch keinen großen Unterschied mehr, ob alle Tickets und Bordkarten in digitaler Form vorliegen. Neuer Dock-Connector Lightning: Apple rangiert aktuellen Standard aus / Zubehörhersteller wittern Geschäft
Neun Jahre lang war der 30-polige Dock Connector der Standard in der iPod-, iPhone- und iPad-Welt. Mit dem iPhone 5 ersetzt Apple den Anschluss gegen einen neuen, kleineren namens “Lightning”. Die Besitzer vieler Zubehörprodukte wird das ärgern, Hersteller wittern ein Geschäft.
Im Büro nutzen wir noch ein Dock-Kabel, das einen Firewire- und einen USB-Anschluss bietet das waren die Anfänge des 30-poligen Steckers, der 2003 mit dem iPod der dritten Generation eingeführt wurde (Bild unten). Die Nachteile des Anschlusses zeigten sich spätestens bei dem iPod shuffle: Der Stecker war einfach zu groß für den kleinen Musikspieler, der Shuffle benötigte seine eigene Lösung zum Laden und Daten übertragen.

Apple unveils, Lightning, its new, smaller dock connector for the iPhone
As foretold by our own Richard Gaywood, Apple unveiled a new dock connector for the iPhone 5. Called Lightning, the new connector is 80% smaller than the current 30-pin version. Besides being smaller, Lightning features an 8-signal design and improved durability. It's also reversible so you don't have to monkey around when you are trying to charge your device. Apple is working with accessory makers to get the new dock connector into their products. There will also be an adapter for older 30-pin products.

iPhone 5 Camera has improved specs, better low light performance
While the iPhone 4S camera is among the best on any cellphone, Apple is not resting on its laurels, so we're going to see a much improved camera on the iPhone 5.
The A6 chip in the new iPhone opens the door to better specs, including faster capture of photos, noise reduction and better low light performance, which Apple claims will yield up to 2 additional ƒ stops, which is significant. It will be interesting to test against the new Nokia Lumia 920 which is also touting excellent low light performance.

The new iPhone 5 supports LTE
Apple has confirmed what many assumed: The newly announced iPhone 5 will support LTE, the faster network protocol that will keep your iPhone blasting through data.
Apple is calling its wireless 'ultrafast'. In the US, Apple says, AT&T, Verizon and Sprint will all support LTE. In Canada Rogers, Telus, Bell, Fido and Virgin, plus lots of systems in Europe and Asia.
This means the new iPhone will support GPRS, EDGE, EV-DO, HSPA, HSPA+, DC-HSDPA and LTE. For comparison HSPA+ is 21 Mbps, DC-HSDPA is 42Mbps, and LTE is a max of 100. Apple will be using a single chip for voice and data and a single radio chip as wel

Apple details iPhone 5's new camera: 8MP, 'same as iPhone 4S but thinner'
Apple's got a new iSight coming with its brand new iPhone 5: an 8-megapixel camera with a 3,264 x 2,448 backside-illuminated sensor, five-element lens, and f/2.4 aperture. "Same as the iPhone 4S, but thinner." 25 percent thinner, to be exact, to match the now slimmer iPhone. The branding remains the same -- it's still the iSight -- but a few new bells and whistles have been added alongside the slimming. The new iPhone deserves a new dock connector. Say hello to the reversible, 80 percent smaller, Lightning. The likes of Bose, BLW and B&O are already working on new compatible docks while the new connector itself is now easier to connect, more durable, all digital, with an adaptive interface which warrants some closer inspection. iOS 6 gets official debut on the iPhone 5
Now that the iPhone 5 is officially out of the bag, it's time to talk software. Apple announces the iPhone 5
Apple has announced the iPhone 5. If you've been following the rumors over the past month or so, the device's appearance won't be surprising -- it looks exactly like the leaks, made of a mix of glass and aluminum. At 7.6 mm thick, it's 18 percent thinner than the iPhone 4S and 20 percent lighter, at 112 grams.
The iPhone 5 has a Retina Display at 326 ppi and measures 4 inches diagonally, with an 1136 x 640 resolution. I'll save you the math: the new screen has a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, the same as your HDTV. The larger screen gives enough room for a full new row of apps on the iOS Home screen.

Apple: 700k apps available in App Store, 250k for iPad, 100 apps per user
Does it come as any surprise that Apple would take a portion of its iPhone keynote to crank out a few obligatory numbers touting its overall success? CEO Tim Cook announced today that his company just surpassed the 700,000 mark for apps in the iOS App Store, with 250,000 specifically written for the iPad. Amazingly, 90 percent of those are downloaded every month, and each customer uses more than 100 apps on average. That extra row on the iPhone 5 should come in rather handy, we'd say. Apple counts 400 million iOS devices sold as of June
Wondering just how well Apple's iOS device sales have been faring versus their Android counterparts? CEO Tim Cook has just revealed that Apple has sold (not just shipped) 400 million iOS devices from the 2007 launch through to June 2012, a hike from the 365 million it reported at WWDC. For context, Google's Andy Rubin mentioned just Tuesday that a total of 500 million Android devices had been activated, although the gap may be closer than implied at first: there's been a few months between then and now, after all. If you've got then LTE smartphone, you're going to need some LTE markets. Fortunately, Apple had a huge, global list of carriers that are going to work with the iPhone 5. 7 million upgrades to Mountain Lion sold so far, the fastest-selling version of OS X yet
Kicking off its huge San Francisco event Apple CEO Tim Cook told the packed auditorium that Mountain Lion OS X is the fast-selling operating system it's ever had. He added that the company's family of notebooks have now ranked number 1 in the US for the last three months, grabbing a 27 percent market share. Alleged iPhone 5 logic board shows A6 chip, LTE support
An Italian blog has posted photos of what it claims is the logic board for the iPhone 5, set to be announced later today. The board notably uses an A6 chip, indicating that Apple is finally advancing beyond the A5 line. When the third-generation iPad was introduced in March Apple designated its processor the A5X, since the chip was little different from the A5 except for graphics power.

PlayStation Plus cloud storage boost landing 'soon' with system update v4.25
If you've been sat impatiently tapping your fingers on the desk waiting for that extra PlayStation Plus storage, then you might want to give that hand a break. iPhone 5: Apple.com beseitigt letzte Zweifel am Namen
Bereits die die Ankündigung des Apple-Events heute Abend deutscher Zeit ließ nicht mehr viel Spielraum für Spekulationen. Das neue iPhone wird sehr wahrscheinlich iPhone 5 heißen. Dies zeigen nun auch die Suchergebnisse auf Apples eigener Website.

Mark Zuckerberg: Unser größter Fehler war zu sehr auf HTML5 zu setzen
Erst kürzlich stellte das Soziale Netzwerk Facebook seine neue iOS-App vor, die dank nativem Objective-C-Code deutlich schneller als die alte App ist, bei der noch viel HTML5 zum Einsatz kam. Im Rahmen der Konferenz TechCrunch Disrupt bezeichnete CEO und Gründer Mark Zuckerberg den Einsatz von HTML5 als großen strategischen Fehler.
Im Interview mit Mike Arrington gestand der Facebook-CEO erstmals ein, dass man lange Zeit einen groben Fehler bei der App gemacht habe und man zwei Jahre verschenkt habe. Die Qualität der HTML5-Version sei einfach nicht hoch genug gewesen, um den eigenen Ansprüchen gerecht zu werde

Two-day iCloud mail outage continues to frustrate users
The status site says that only 1.1 percent of iCloud users are affected, but you wouldn't know it by the volume of agitation on our tip line. Since yesterday morning, iCloud mail connectivity has been iffy or entirely absent for some subscribers, and Apple's not commenting aside from the "we're working on it" notice.
It's unfortunate timing, given that Apple would prefer everyone focus on the shiny new hotness today. It's also a reminder that cloud is hard, and providing reliable email service for 99% of your customers doesn't really meet the standard.

iCloud problems persist into second day
Yesterday's iCloud problems are still ongoing, users are complaining. Apple's system status page indicates that access to Mail is still "slow or unavailable," and specifically that people may encounter delays with incoming email. Although Apple is promising that service will be restored as soon as possible, the number of affected users has actually expanded from 0.17 percent to 1.1 percent.

Whoops. Perhaps prematurely ending the debate over the name, 9to5mac noticed "iPhone 5" showing up in a URL on Apple's site. Later they found references to a new iPod touch and nano.
We expected all of these things, given the yearly timing of Apple's "music" event (although today also marks the day they introduced the first Apple TV back in 2006). Plus, the iPhone 5 has almost lost all of its surprise -- if you believe the rumors we've seen.

Spaciger wirds nicht: Invader schickt Space Invader in den Space

Der französische Künstler Invader, der als Streetartist mit Space-Invader-Kacheln bekannt wurde, hat eines seiner Markenzeichen in den Weltraum - Pardon: in den Space - geschickt und zwar mittels eines Wetterballons, der bei seinem vierstündigen Flug immerhin die Stratosphäre (mindestens 8 Kilometer hoch) erreichte, wobei die Kunstkachel bei -80 Grad gefrostet wurde. Online Apple Store goes down ahead of iPhone event
The online Apple Store has been taken down in advance of the company's San Francisco press event, scheduled for 10AM Pacific time. Apple regularly brings the storefront offline for major product introductions, since the company not only has to insert new product pages but make sure the site is prepared for later traffic. Das ist mittlerweile Standardpraxis bei den Jungs aus Cupertino und damit auch keine wirkliche Überraschung. iPod touch to get GPS, new colors, act as game controller
Along with the expected unveiling of the iPhone 5 today, Apple is expected to reveal its latest version of the iPod touch. According to the historically KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the new iPod touch will gain a 4-inch in-cell touchscreen, a dedicated GPS receiver and a high-definition FaceTime camera. In der RX1 wird der gleiche 24,3 Megapixel Exmor CMOS Sensor verbaut wie in der heute eingeführten A99. Man kann die gerade mal ein halbes Kilo schwere Cybershot nicht mehr wirklich klein nennen, besonders wegen des fest verbauten Zeiss Sonnar T* 35mm f/2.0 Objektives das markant aus der Vorderseite lugt und dass aufgrund des kleinen Gehäuses größer aussieht, als es wirklich ist. Apple Store goes down ahead of iPhone announcement
With the big event only a few hours away Apple has already taken its shop offline. It's become standard practice for the Cupertino crew, so it's hardly a surprise. Apple, still facing scrutiny from the US Department of Justice and having recently moved to settle with the European Commission over allegations of conspiring with publishers to price e-books higher than the predatory pricing of Amazon, may have opted to change strategy. In China wurde eine Reportage über die Arbeits- und Lebensbedingungen in Foxconns Tai Yuan Werk veröffentlich, welche auf die Erlebnisse eines eingeschleusten Reporters basieren. Längerer Ausfall der E-Mail-Funktionen von iCloud
Seit gestern sind einige E-Mail-Server von Apples iCloud-Dienst gestört, so dass viele Kunden ihre E-Mails nicht abrufen oder nicht versenden können. Apple gibt an, dass dies etwa 1,1% der Nutzer sind. Im Juli 2012 hat Apple bekanntgegeben, dass iCloud nun von 150 Millionen Kunden genutzt wird. Die Tüftler von Priority Designs haben für Cannondale ein Konzeptfahrrad ausbaldowert, das sich dynamisch dem jeweiligen Terrain anpasst, indem sich der Rahmen munter verschiebt, wobei gilt: die Höhe der Lenkgriffe verändert sich, aber das Maß zwischen Sattel und Pedalen bleibt konstant. Das resultierende Continuously Ergonomic Race Vehicle (CERV) war als Prototyp auf der Eurobike zu bestaunen, scheinbar aber nicht testzufahren, jedenfalls finden wir keine entsprechenden Berichte, geschweige Videos von dem Teil. Sharp further cuts bonuses and salaries to stay above water, save $180 million
Sharp is already in full-on belt-tightening mode, and it's not just cutting jobs to keep its staffing costs in line with shrinking finances. The sinking tech giant is doubling the size of executives' salary cuts to 10 percent for a year-long period, all the while slashing planned 2013 bonuses to half of what they were in June. Apple seeds new 10.8.2, 10.7.5 builds to developers
Less than 15 hours before the expected announcement of a new iPhone model and accompanying iOS updates, Apple has distributed a new build of 10.8.2 (numbered 12C50) to developers that includes release notes, making it likely to be the final version pushed out for testing before release -- which could come as early as Wednesday. The new build comes only five days after the third developer beta and adds a number of previously-announced but newly-implemented features. Also unveiled was a new build of 10.7.5 (11G54).

360iDev: The case for 'fair pricing' on iOS apps
A few developers have talked before about the App Store's "race to the bottom" problem, and Joe Cieplinski has clearly been doing some thinking about the issue as well. In his talk at 360iDev this week, Cieplinski (who is a former English teacher and Apple Store employee, and now works as a designer for Bombing Brain Interactive, which makes an app called Teleprompt+ for iPad) pointed out that back in the early days of the App Store, some developers decided to try and price their apps at Apple's lowest option of 99 cents ("I didn't get an email," he joked, "Were you guys consulted?").

Sony's Cyber-Shot RX1 compact camera packs a full-frame sensor, 'fits in your palm' (hands-on)
Would you believe us if we told you Sony packed a full-frame sensor in a Cyber-Shot-branded camera? It's true! Say hello to the RX1, a "compact" digital camera for pros that's packing the same 24.3MP Exmor sensor introduced today with the A99. iCloud: Mail-Zugriff für einige wenige Benutzer seit Stunden nicht möglich

ATV Flash (black) 2.0 out for second-gen Apple TVs
FireCore, a company that specializes in jailbreak and media server software for various models of Apple TV has released version 2.0 of its aTV Flash (black) program, which is specifically aimed at jailbroken second- and third-generation Apple TVs (the small black model that sells for $99). World of Warcraft screenshots allegedly include user details
Blizzard has reportedly been caught watermarking screenshots generated by one of its games. Sendatsu, a user of the OwnedCore forums, claims to have noticed what appears to be artifacts in a screenshot that, after examining multiple images going as far back as 2008, was apparently found to contain details about the user, items not initially viewable from looking at the screenshot subjectively.

Apple seeks HTC penalty for uncooperative expert witness
Apple is seeking US International Trade Commission court sanctions against HTC based on the testimony of one of its expert witnesses. HTC's witness Michael J. Geile repeatedly deferred to HTC's lawyers when pressed about his "inventions" with parent company ADC Telecommunications and is essentially saying nothing of substance to the judge when questioned, despite his obligation to do so before the court.

American Airlines becomes first FAA-friendly carrier to use iPads through whole flights

GoDaddy refutes hack claim, blames cascading server failure
Rather than confirming the alleged hack by an Anonymous member, GoDaddy blamed serious technical problems for a six-hour service disruption that affected nearly all of its customers on Monday. The outages were caused by "a series of internal network events" that disrupted the DNS service on the company's equipment, GoDaddy's CEO Scott Wagner confessed in a statement.

360iDev: Lessons learned from four years on the App Store
Andreas Linde is the developer of an app called WorldView+, which is designed to let you view webcams from around the world on your iOS device (we took a look at the app here).
