iClarifier désimlocke les iPhone les plus récents
It only took a few hours for a 100% software solution which desimlocks iPhones with firmware 1.1.2 or 1.1.3.
The instructions (in English) are available on the website of iClarified
It is necessary to have a jailbroken device. (Jailbreaking opens your iPhone for full disk access and allows other apps to be installed).Everything is handled by the application installer.app.
Attention: we can not under any circumstances be held responsible for any problems encountered!
The desimlocker for the iPhone is not new, however it is the first time that this is possible since its release in Europe. But even if they are more expensive than the United States, these devices are available a "few-stones-thrown-away" from London (via Eurostar), which could cause some heavy (Eurostar) traffic to the mainland .
Operators who signed an exclusive contract have certainly spent a lot of time

Microsoft already trimming Windows 7 features, DirectX 11 on the outs?
It might be a bit early for us to be talking Windows 7 feature cuts, but that said, isn't it a bit early for Microsoft to be talking Windows 7 feature cuts? If The Inquirer's "reliable sources" are to be believed, Microsoft is giving DirectX 11 the boot from its next version of Windows to keep hardware requirements down -- apparently the DirectX 10 requirements of Vista were enough of that sort of trouble for one decade. Obviously there's no official word on Microsoft at the moment, so we'll reserve judg

We're fairly certain we haven't heard the last of this Microsoft offer to buy Yahoo! -- or Google's plans to intervene -- but it looks like round one has Yahoo! saying "no thanks" to Microsoft's $44.6 billion buyout offer. Meizu M8 now on sale? Doubtful.
Given the sheer bulk of press Meizu's M8 has received over the course of its young, controversial life, it'd seem likely that even the slightest trickle of units onto Chinese store shelves would lead to unboxing shots, videos, and reviews within hours, wouldn't it? Reports are starting to flow across the 'nets that M8s are now being made available through several of Meizu's suppliers, but without a single in-the-wild picture of a fully functional, final spec unit -- from Meizu, much less a paying customer -- we're not buying it. That alleged leak of Moto's 2008 lineup last year in Amsterdam is looking more and more legit pretty much by the minute. First, we got a glimpse of what appears to be the Skarven -- a phone that'll probably become the Z12 kick slider at retail -- a few days ago, and now an alleged shot of the TEXEL candybar has turned up. As much flak as Motorola has taken recently for yawnfest industrial design, we've gotta say that we're sort of digging what they've thrown together with the TEXEL here (assuming it's real, of course).

Battling iPhone's GSM Buzz 3: Behringer MS40 Digital
Here is what I hope will be the final installment of my Battling iPhone's GSM Buzz series. You readers have been very helpful with your suggestions, and I hope you've gotten some use out of my commentary (even if it's only Schadenfreude or commiseration).
Martin started me off on a new angle, and I commenced a search for a pair of computer speakers that could make use of my G5's optical audio out. I found them for a slight premium over my original budget of $100 in the Behringer MS40 Digital Monitor Speakers.

AT&T wins/buys 12Mhz of the 700Mhz spectrum

The proposition won by a 4-1 vote. One of the two democrats, Jonathan Adelstein, said he voted in favor of the Aloha sale because there was no public opposition to it but remained "troubled" that AT&T could hold a "disproportionate share of the spectrum" when the auction is finished. The other Democratic commissioner, Michael Copps, voted against the ruling. He said the deal could have a large impact on a mo

Yeah the rest of the world is rolling their collective eyes because they've had 3G for like 35 years or something but AT&T has just announced a major expansion of their 3G network in the US. Their announcement means AT&T will roll out an additional 1,500 cell sites in the U.S. this year adding 80 more cities - which will bring the total to 350 markets in the US - and all of the top 100 cities. Just about ubiquitous enough for Apple to do some kind of 3G deal with AT&T, not just in iPhone, but also in iPod, and Mac laptops as well.

Interview: XBox Media Center hits the Macintosh scene
The XBox Media Center (XBMC) project was started as an alternative OS for the original modded XBoxes in 2002. It has since grown into one of the most functional media center applications out there.
Last year it was ported to Linux and it was reborn as one of the best media centers for the platform, doing many things that Front Row/AppleTV and Windows Media center can't do.
Recently a team of programmers led by Elan Feingold decided that maybe an OSX version might have a market..as he puts it, "it seems like it's a confluence of people who like the best OS coupled with people who like the best media center".
