A better, yet more cumbersome iOS 7 gamepad: hands-on with the MOGA Ace Power
Two sticks, four face buttons, a pair of shoulder paddles and a d-pad: the formula for a modern gamepad and the layout of MOGA's Ace Power controller. Ascend Mate: Bringt Huawei bald Nachfolger mit höherer Display-Auflösung?

Bugs and Fixes: Apple's iOS 7.04 ships hot on the heels of 7.03
While the .03 update of Apple's much-discussed 7.x iOS fixed many performance issues, it was simply better--not the baby-smooth operation that users experienced with the mature iOS 6.x. Version 7.04 builds upon that (I swear version .04 is smoother than .03, though that may just be my anticipation of the upcoming 7.1). But more importantly, it also fixes a major security flaw that could have had users getting apps without actually being signed in to the store. Good for the users perhaps, but not so much for the vendors.

Foxconn reveals plans for US-based manufacturing facility
iPhone manufacturing powerhouse Foxconn is planning to drop a cool $40 million in the United States to build a manufacturing facility for telecom and internet products, according to company chairman Terry Gou. Bloomberg reports the facility will be located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where Foxconn already runs a small manufacturing operation. The new factory will employ roughly 500 people.

Stolen iPhone cuts assault spree short, helps nab suspects
A group of three teen boys attacked a 30-year-old Winnipeg man and by the next day the three were placed in cuffs, thanks in large part to the fact that the suspects decided to steal the victim's iPhone during the assault. As CBC reports, after assaulting the first victim and snatching his Apple smartphone the teens took photos of themselves using the stolen device and were eventually tracked down thanks to what is being described as "a tracking app" by the authorities -- I'm guessing it was Find My iPhone or something similar.

Producing a podcast entirely with iOS is easier than you might think
Podcasting is something typically done at a desk with fancy microphones and editing software, but as Fraser Speirs -- co-host of the Out of School podcast -- details on his blog, it's something that can also be done quiet smoothly using iOS exclusively. The process isn't necessarily as slick as it can be with a professional setup, and as Speirs admits, the options for shining up sketchy audio isn't aren't as robust as they are on a desktop, but it's definitely doable.
