Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac adds ringtones, Aperture

Mac users running Windows Phones received a major update to Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac (Mac App Store) this weekend to better accommodate Windows Phone 7.5 phones like the Focus Flash. IBM: iPhone, iPad were 10.2% of online Black Friday shopping

Apple's mobile devices were responsible for a tenth of all US online shopping on Black Friday this year, IBM said in a new study. The iPad and iPhone made up 4.8 and 5.6 percent each of all online shopping in the US, or 10.2 percent combined. Android, in spite of its larger collective market share, wasn't as trusted at just 4.1 percent.

Das Material für diese Traumbatterie glauben Wissenschaftler der Universität Stanford nun gefunden zu haben: Aus den Nanopartikeln einer Kupferverbindung haben sie eine Elektrode entwickelt, die Akkus ein 100 Mal längeres Leben bescheren soll. In Labortests hielt die Elektrode 40.000 Lade- und Entladezyklen durch und lieferte danach immer noch 80 Prozent ihrer Anfangsleistung. Maiden locals bemoan lack of jobs from Apple datacenter

Apple's Maiden, North Carolina datacenter for iCloud and iTunes is doing little to help local business, a story from the small town has found. Although the state gave significant breaks to be chosen for the datacenter, the Washington Post found that the sheer efficiency of the server cluster has led to little improvement in the higher than average unemployment in the area. Only 50 workers are needed to run the datacenter full-time, and about 250 contractors are needed for security and other supporting work.

Wurden erste in Brasilien gefertigte iPhones ausgeliefert?

Das taiwanische Unternehmen Foxconn gilt bekanntlich als einer der Hauptproduzenten verschiedenster Apple Produkte wie zum Beispiel dem iPhone. Foxconn, das neben Apple auch für Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Sony oder Nintendo fertigt, hat vor ein paar Monaten auch erstmals eine Fabrik auf dem südamerikanischen Kontinent errichtet. In Brasilien werden nämlich hochwertige Elektronik-Produkte produziert und in die weite Welt exportiert. Doch bisher hatten Apple Kunden noch kein Gerät erhalten, auf dem der Hinweis "Made in Brazil" zu lesen ist. Doch nun meldete sich ein brasilianischer Blog zu Wort, der erste Fotos eines in Brasilien gefertigten iPhones veröffentlichte. Microsoft vs. Apple: Spracherkennung TellMe ist nicht ausgereift

<img src="http://www.sevenmac.de/images/stories/users/212/apple-siri-app-icon.jpg" style="float: left; margin-right: 10px; margin-bottom: 5px;" height="100" width="100" /> Vor ein paar Tagen wurde ein Interview des Forbes Magazine veröffentlicht, in dem Craig Mundie, ein Manager von Microsoft behauptete, dass die mit dem iPhone 4S eingeführte Spracherkennung Siri kein wirklich neues Feature sei. Mundie gab zudem an, dass Apple die Spracherkennung Siri mit allen Mitteln in das Zentrum der Marketing-Kampagnen stellt, obwohl Microsoft bereits seit über einem Jahr eine eigene Lösung bereitstellt. Diese trägt den Namen TellMe, das in das Betriebssystem Windows 7 integriert ist und nach den Angaben des Microsoft Managers mindestens genauso gut funktionieren soll, wie Apples Siri. Dass dem jedoch nicht so ist, wurde nun in einem anschaulichen Testvideo sehr gut veranschaulicht.

Panasonic plans to go forth with Android to all of Europe this spring, North America is a definite maybe

Have you been hoping to experience a Panasonic boom up close and personal, but found yourself in the wrong locale? The Japanese electronics giant wants to change all of that by expanding its Android lineup to Europe and North America, according to Nikkei.
