Leak: Google Nexus Prime to hit GSM, Sprint's WiMAX too

A further Twitter clue from leaker Tom Fleming has hinted that the Google Nexus Prime will still aim for a global launch and more directly take on Apple once again. While only Verizon has its rumored November 3 date, the phone will still be available worldwide. The phone will be available with "GSM or WiMAX radios inside," implying that GSM carriers like AT&T or most Canadian providers as well as Sprint will be on tap.

Lego's augmented reality at IDF, eyes-on (video)

It's not as cool as Chipzilla's other augmented reality project, but at least this one exists out in the real world. Present at select storefronts, the camera-based AR tech uses image recognition on Lego boxes to superimpose their brick-ladden contents in fully animated form. LG myTouch phones make brief YouTube appearance?

T-Mobile's myTouch smartphones have -- until now -- been an exclusively HTC affair, but both of the phones captured here appear to be LG-made. Canon's 8-inch CMOS sensor can record SPACE at 60fps

For whatever reason, Canon seemed more concerned with showing off its engineering prowess than finding a use for the giant 8-inch CMOS sensor it created last year. Fortunately, the super-powerful snapper has found its way into the 105-centimeter Schmidt Telescope at the University of Tokyo's Kiso Observatory. White 'iPhone 4s' shows in AT&T's inventory tracker

A leak from within AT&T's inventory system has lent support to Apple having a remade iPhone 4 in development. The carrier's inventory system as of Saturday had an "iPhone 4s White" listed alongside the regular iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 models. Only one device showed in the Engadget sighting and didn't include capacity.

Facebook music to bring in Rhapsody, Soundcloud, Vevo too

Dean Kamen files patent application for an inflatable, illuminated wind turbine

Inflatable wind turbines may not be an entirely new idea, but prolific inventor Dean Kamen has detailed one of a slightly different sort in a recently published patent application.
