Analyst says iPad 3 the one to get 2048x1536 display
The third-generation iPad will be the one to get the rumored 2048x1536 display, Concord Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed on Saturday. The often historically accurate researcher understood from checks that the doubled resolution, fringed-field switching display was both too expensive and not yielding enough to be viable for the current model. It takes quite a bit for me to be impressed with yet another speaker dock. I run my music through some pretty good PC speakers, so I don't really have a need for a separate speaker to play music directly from my iPhone. But something about the WALdok appeals to me. It's hard to say if Intel CEO Paul Otellini was simply misquoted the first go 'round, or if he really had a change of heart in the course of 48 hours. macprime iApp Version 1.0.1 im App Store verfügbar
Am 26. Oktober 2010 ist die erste Version unserer hauseigenen App fürs iPhone, den iPod touch und iPad im App Store erschienen.
Der Erfolg der ersten Tage hat auch einiges an Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten an den Tag gerufen, zudem haben wir unsere Leser aufgefordert,
Wünsche und Kritik anzubringen. Einige Feedbacks haben wir herausgepickt und in einen Mini-Release gepackt, welcher nun im App Store zum Download
zur Verfügung steht.
Die Neuerungen sind neben einigen Fehlerbehebungen ein neues, für Retina-Displays optimiertes App-Icon, Pull-to-Refresh, um neue Inhalte bequem frisch zu laden, sowie
mehrere kleinere optische Verbesserungen.
Nach wie vor sind wir offen für Kritik und Verbesserungsvorschläge. Diese können in unserem Forum platziert werden.

Neue MacBook Pro für kommende Woche erwartet

Samsung wants to sell 10 million 3D TVs this year, LG plans on 5 million
Here's one way to solve a chicken-and-egg dilemma: crank out 15 million chickens. That's seem to be the plan for Samsung and LG, anyway -- Samsung plans to sell 10 million 3D TVs this year, up five times from the two million it sold last year, while LG plans to sell some 5 million. Now, it's unclear whether this increase in sales will come as a result of consumer demand for 3D or simply because almost all new TVs will be 3D-capable, but we're hoping that pesky 3D content problem will get a lot better once more people can actually view it -- assuming anyone actually wants to wear the glasses, that is.

O.K., ich gebe es zu. Ich habe nun wirklich keinen “grünen Daumen”. Bei mir zu Hause überleben nur so genannte “Rambo-Pflanzen”. Die müssen sich mir anpassen, nicht ich ihnen. Land Rover develops Range_e hybrid, will show it off at the Geneva Motor Show
You know electric cars are in the ascendancy when even the fearsome 4x4s start looking to add an extra little spark to their energy production and storage. Land Rover has just announced it'll demo one -- there are multiple working versions -- of its development prototypes at the Geneva Motor Show next month, treating us to an exhibition of what a diesel engine can do when augmented with some electric firepower. The Range_e's design is based on the Range Rover Sport and its 3.0-liter TDV6 core, however the new vehicle is capable of going a full 20 miles purely on its electric charge and touts a whopping 690-mile range altogether.

Tips have new MacBook Pros launching next week
Sources drove rumors of new MacBook Pros again on Friday with leaks narrowing them down to next week. Bumping them up from the early March target, AppleInsider's contacts were told that multiple Apple divisions were being asked to ready for a "significant product launch." DARPA-funded Nano Hummingbird spybot takes flight (video)
We were plenty impressed when we saw the initial tests of AeroVironment's robo-hummingbird -- now officially dubbed the Nano Hummingbird -- but we can't say they quite prepared us for the final product that the DARPA-funded company is now showing off. Not only does the bot look and fly like a real hummingbird (at least if you don't look too closely), but it packs a built-in camera and a downlink of some sort that's capable of transmitting live video. Apple beats Kindle for ebooks in the UK
An interesting post over at GigaOM is shedding light on the unanswered question: is the iPad or the Kindle pulling ahead in the race to provide ebooks to customers? Citing Jo Henry, the managing director of Book Marketing Ltd, the answer seems to clearly be Apple, at least in the United Kingdoms.

Nokia: Microsoft deal hinged on very low-price Windows Phone
Nokia's recently installed CEO Stephen Elop told those at a Finnish press event that developing ultra-budget Windows Phone devices was a condition of the Microsoft deal. Before it would make the switch, Nokia had to be persuaded that it could reach a "very low price point" in short order. While he didn't give a benchmark price, he expected the drop to happen "very quickly."

SRS iWow 3D really improves the sound of any iPod or iOS device
I've been a fan of the SRS iWow audio adapter for my iPod Classic for a number of years. What this dongle did is make iTunes audio sound dramatically better. It tightened the bass, improved the treble and added a good deal of presence to my music with the largest difference being heard in acoustic or orchestral tracks. It also punched up the audio of videos to an extent.
This wasn't done by just increasing the volume, which would be the easy way. Instead, it added proprietary post processing to improve the sound. The downsides were that there were no settings outside of on or off, it was rather big and clunky, and it reduced iPod battery life by 26 percent.
