Schon seit ein paar Wochen kursieren Berichte rund um angeblich gefälschte Apple Stores in China. Vor allen in der südchinesischen Millionenstadt Kunming wurden entsprechende Beobachtungen gemacht. AT&T sues to stop arbitration trying to freeze T-Mobile deal

AT&T on Friday said it had sued eight times in federal court to stop an arbitration-based campaign to try and halt the buyout of T-Mobile. The suits, filed in each of the areas where Bursor and Fisher was launching its efforts, allege that the attempts violate the terms of AT&T's arbitration cases. Although individuals are making arbitration cases, they're demanding penalties that would apply to a class action and are supposedly violating terms that bar making more than individual claims.

Fake Apple stores morph into 'Smart Stores'

Some of the fake Apple stores in Kunming forced to change have made some changes to avoid further legal scraps. Google finally defends developers against Lodsys lawsuit

Google has at last taken steps to try and protect Android developers from the wide-ranging Lodsys lawsuit, the company's general counsel Kent Walker stated Saturday. The company has asked the USPTO to reexamine the validity of two patents for in-app purchases that "should never have been issued," according to Walker. The approach described to Wired would either narrow the scope of the complaints or invalidate the patents entirely, likely forcing Lodsys to either limit the reach of lawsuits or toss them out entirely.

Elektrischer Chevy Camaro schafft die Viertelmeile in 10,08 Sekunden, verschwendet Strom und Gummi

Das ist nur ein ganz klein wenig langsamer als die 9,51 Sekunden des Black Current, eines umgebauten VW Käfer, der den Weltrekord für elektrische Autos mit "Strassenkarosserie" hält. Comscore finds 6.2 percent of smartphone users scan QR codes

QR codes may be turning up in more places than ever these days, but are people actually using them? According to market research firm Comscore, at least some of them are -- 14 million in June in the US alone, to be specific, or about 6.2 percent of all smartphone users. Apple patents improved oleophobic coating process

Apple has been awarded a patent for a manufacturing process that seeks to apply an oil-resistant (oleophobic) coating to the surface of a component (for example, a screen) in a way that reduces the chance of any impurities diluting the coating. New OS X 10.7.2 build and iCloud beta 7 released to developers

Another seed of OS X Lion 10.7.2 has been released to developers, this time with a build number of 11C37. The first 10.7.2 build was released just a few days after OS X Lion's public launch, and Apple still has not provided any developer seeds of 10.7.1. German enthusiast and iPhone fan Benjamin Bachmeier has constructed a table-sized computer called the iTableous. This behemoth was entirely hand-built and runs a hackintosh version of Mac OS X 10.6.7 as well as Windows 7 Professional. Dual boot, baby! As you can see below, the craftsmanship is fantastic. RIM shrugs off Sprint loss, focuses on LTE PlayBook

RIM spun Sprint's decision to back away from a 4G BlackBerry PlayBook by saying its attention had moved elsewhere. In a statement given to Electronista and others, the company said it had "decided to prioritize and focus" on the already in-progress LTE-equipped PlayBook. The company hinted that it still had carrier deals in the US and wasn't delaying cellular PlayBooks further beyond the fall target.
