SceneTap app analyzes pubs and clubs in real-time, probably won't score you a Jersey Shore cameo

So, here's the skinny -- when SceneTap launches in a month or so, it'll provide Android and iOS users with a frightening amount of analysis before you hit the town. As the story goes, the startup will be tapping into an infrastructure of cameras spread across an untold quantity of bars. The goal? To provide a real-time snapshot of what the demographics are at any location on any given night. According to the company, demographic information, social commentary and "other comprehensive features" will be shown, all of which will help people decide where they'd like to go. US rumored getting unlocked iPhone 4 Wednesday

Yet more rumors about Apple's mystery Wednesday update have suggested the US might finally get the option of unlocked iPhones. A claim Sunday afternoon has the unlocked iPhone 4 appearing at Apple stores in both capacities and colors. The model numbers, MC603, MC604, MC605, and MC606, all line up with the GSM versions sold abroad but without the regional suffixes that normally apply to international unlocked phones, such as B for Britain or C for Canada.

iCloud Communications verklagt Apple aus naheliegenden Gründen

Filed under: Companies Es ist nicht das erste Mal, dass Apple vorgeworfen wird, seine Produkte mit Namen zu schmücken, an denen andere die Rechte hielten: iPhone, iPad und natürlich der Konzernname Apple selbst. Jetzt fordert der US-amerikanische VoIP-Anbieter iCloud Communications aus nachvollziehbaren Gründen Schadensersatz. Die Firma behauptet, seit 2005 den Begriff "iCloud" - und das oben abgebildete Logo - zu nutzen und unter diesem Namen auch Cloud-Computing-Dienste anzubieten. You probably know the drill by now -- Cupertino introduces a new product with a name that ostensibly belongs to someone else, and for better or worse that someone decides to take Apple to court. Apple recalls a few Verizon iPad 2s, citing connectivity issues

Several 9to5Mac readers noticed a rather peculiar phenomenon this last week -- their freshly-ordered Verizon iPad 2 units shipped all the way from China just fine, only to boomerang back to sender right before delivery time. Now, Reuters has the official word: Apple's recalling an "extremely small number" of Verizon iPad 2s which were flashed with a duplicate MEID code.
