Apple Releases New Firmware for iPad Pro and iPad Air Magic Keyboards
Apple today released new firmware for the Magic Keyboards designed for the iPad Pro and iPad Air. The firmware for the M4/M5 iPad Pro model has a version number of 1872.544.772, up from the prior 0680.0220.0301 firmware, while the firmware for the M3 iPad Air model has a version number of 1024.320.771, up from 0350.0135.0303.
The new firmware is available for both the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro Magic Keyboard options that Apple sells for the M4 and M5 iPad Pro models, as well as the version that Apple sells for the M3 iPad Air.
Apple overhauled the Magic Keyboard in May 2024 alongside the launch of the M4 iPad Pro. The updated keyboard has the same floating cantilevered design as the prior version, but it includes a dedicated row of function keys, along with a larger glass trackpad.

Unser CHIP-Kater Chewbacca testet den Enabot EBO Air 2 Plus: Der Heimtierroboter ist kein Spielzeug, aber auch kein wirklich „smarter“ Haushaltsroboter. Im Kern ist er eine sehr gute mobile Überwachungskamera, verpackt in ein sympathisches Robotergehäuse. Genau darin liegt seine größte Stärke: Statt starrer Blickwinkel fährt der kleine Roboter durch die Wohnung und liefert aus wechselnden Perspektiven scharfe Bilder – auch nachts.
Im Alltag zeigt sich jedoch schnell, dass vieles, was nach Autonomie und KI klingt, noch nicht zuverlässig genug ist. Patrouillen scheitern immer wieder an Möbeln oder Orientierung, die KI-Funktionen wirken eher aufgesetzt und bringen kaum Mehrwert. Für rund 400 Euro bekommt man also ein interessantes Spezialgerät, das eine feste Kamera nicht ersetzt, sondern ergänzt. Nomad launches Icy Blue Stratos Band for Apple Watch
Last year, Nomad introduced an Apple Watch band that I had never seen before. It combined the athletic-minded FKM rubber they use for their sports bands with the high-end, high-quality titanium they use for their Titanium Band, and called it Stratos. This band blew me away, and I’ve used it basically every day since then. Now they are back with a new colorway, and they have just bought their Icy Blue Glow material over to the Stratos band for a limited time. This thing is a showstopper.

Adobe unveils new AI-powered video editing tools for Premiere
Adobe has announced updates for Premiere and After Effects, including new AI-powered tools that are meant to speed up your video editing tasks. In Premiere, the company’s video-editing software, it has unveiled a new AI-powered Object Mask feature that lets you easily pick and track persons or objects moving through your video clips. You simply have to hover over that object and click to generate a mask overlay in seconds. While the mask is supposed to be accurate from the start, you can adjust and resize it as needed. Adobe says the feature uses its own AI model for the feature and that the processing happens on-device. It also says that it doesn’t use your activities and data to train its models.The company has also given its Shape Mask tool an upgrade. You can generate its redesigned Ellipse, Rectangle and Pen masks directly from the toolbar. Further, it updated their controls to make moving or adjusting the masks more precise.
