Google discloses list of Oracle suit writers on payroll
While Google continues to claim that it has not paid any writers to report or comment on the Oracle versus Google lawsuit, in response to a judicial order the search engine leader has provided a list of individuals and groups who have commented on the case and have, possibly coincidentally, received money from the company. The list includes Google lawyer William Patry, Java creator James Gosling, and Computer and Communications Industry Association (CCIA) overseer Ed Black.

Pioneering astronaut Neil Armstrong dies at 82
It's a story that we hoped we'd never have to report. Neil Armstrong, the first man to set foot on Earth's Moon, has died at the age of 82 after complications from heart surgery three weeks earlier. His greatest accomplishment very nearly speaks for itself -- along with help from fellow NASA astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins, he changed the landscape of space exploration through a set of footprints. ITC rules in favor of Apple on three Motorola patents
Hidden in the shadow of the Samsung versus Apple verdict, the US branch of the International Trade Commission (ITC) wrapped up its review of an initial ruling in April that found Apple in infringement of a wireless patent held by Google-owned Motorola Mobile. In the final decision, Apple was reaffirmed not infringing on three of four patents, and the fourth patent that was previously ruled infringing has now been sent to Administrative Law Judge Thomas B. Pender for a decision.

Two Facebook insiders have sold massive amounts of shares awarded to them during the highly-anticipated IPO in the last two weeks. Earlier this week, Peter Thiel sold $400 million worth of shares in the company. iPhone 4S now starting at $125 at RadioShack
RadioShack announced today that it will be cutting prices on the iPhone 4S by $75. Beginning Sunday, August 26, all AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint iPhone 4S models will be available for the discounted price to new and upgrading customers at RadioShack locations nationwide. Apple expected to file for an injunction, while Samsung says it will appeal
Now that the verdict has been handed down in the Apple/Samsung patent trial, Apple has filed a motion for a preliminary injunction against Samsung's infringing devices, according to Engadget. Apple is expected to claim that the continued sales of these devices will cause irreparable harm to the Cupertino company and ask the court to ban their sale in the US.
Apple has until August 29 to formally file its proposal, and Samsung has until September 12 to respond. Both parties will return to the court on September 20 for a formal hearing to discuss the injunction.
