Google Brings Fitbit AI Health Coach to iPhone as Apple Pulls Back on iOS 27 Health Plans
Amid rumors that Apple is scaling back its AI health plans, Google today expanded its subscription-based Fitbit AI personal health coach service to more users worldwide, including those who are on iOS. Prior to now, the Fitbit service was limited to Android users.
The Gemini-powered Fitbit personal health coach is described as a 24/7 digital advisor that’s meant to work as a virtual fitness trainer, sleep coach, and health and wellness advisor. Users start with a 5 to 10 minute conversation with the coach to outline their motivations and goals, with the Fitbit app then providing health insights in the morning after the user wakes up, after workouts, and before bed.
The app is able to generate a personalized workout plan that tracks core fitness metrics, and it offers up sleep analysis and suggestions for improving sleep. It tracks vitals such as heart rate, temperature, and blood oxygen, plus there is a built-in chatbot for asking all kinds of health-related questions.

Instead of a Home or a side-button, Apple is researching how best to implement under-screen fingerprint sensors, not just for mobile devices like iPhone Fold and iPad, but potentially also the Mac.Under-display Touch ID could come to future iPhones — or Macs.The expected iPhone Fold has been said to be too thin for Face ID, so it must use Touch ID. The Ayaneo Next 2 is a massive PC handheld with a price tag to match
There appears to be no limit to how chonky and eye-wateringly expensive PC gaming handhelds can get, with the latest behemoth being the Ayaneo Next 2. First announced back in November, the latest Windows handheld in Ayaneo’s Next lineup is now up for pre-order, with a spec sheet that makes some of its rivals look modest.
If you missed the announcement at the end of last year, the Next 2 is packing a 9-inch OLED display with a 2,400 x 1,504 resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz (adjustable down to 60Hz). The Next 2 is powered by an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chip and has a massive 115Mh battery under the hood.
To put all of that into perspective, the Next 2’s display is more than 1.5 inches larger than the Steam Deck OLED’s, and goes bigger than even the Lenovo Legion Go 2’s 8.8-inch panel. Apple today announced four new games coming to Apple Arcade in March, along with three major updates to existing titles on the service.
The four new games heading to Apple Arcade next month are as follows:
Oceanhorn 3: Legend of the Shadow Sea: A new 3D action-adventure RPG set nearly 1,000 years after Oceanhorn 2, featuring island exploration, titan battles, puzzles, and cross-platform play on the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.
Pocket Love!+: A wholesome life simulator where players decorate a home and build a cozy life with their partner and pet.

iPhone battery life test shows just how much power 5G drains compared to WiFi

Reminder: Update Your Apple Home App Immediately to Avoid Issues
In 2022, Apple introduced a new Apple Home architecture that is "more reliable and efficient," and the deadline to upgrade and avoid issues is today.
In an email last week, Apple gave customers a final reminder to upgrade their Home app by February 10, 2026. Apple says users who do not upgrade may experience issues with accessories and automations, or lose access to their smart home in the app entirely. In addition, users who do not upgrade will miss out on newer features like robot vacuum cleaner support, and they will not receive important security fixes and performance improvements.
Apple explains how to upgrade the Home app on the iPhone, iPad, or Mac:
Open the Home app
Tap or click on the three dots in the upper-right and navigate to Home Settings
Tap or click on Software Update
Tap or click Update Now, then follow the prompts. All of the homes that you own are updated at the same time.
If you see "This home and all accessories are up to date," then you are on the current version of

Toyota and Pony.ai start mass producing robotaxis for China
The first Pony.ai bZ4X robotaxi, made in partnership with Toyota, has just rolled off the production line and is ready to be deployed. It’s the first of many, if the companies stick to their plan, which is to produce more than 1,000 bZ4X robotaxis this year. The bZ4X is one of the three autonomous vehicle models Pony.ai intends to use for commercial services in Tier 1 Chinese cities, including Beijing and Shanghai. The other two vehicles are already being used for Pony.ai’s ride-hailing service, while the bZ4X robotaxis will be gradually integrated into its fleet. Pony.ai’s goal is to operate 3,000 vehicles by the end of 2026. Toyota introduced the new bZ4X last year, and the non-autonomous versions are available for purchase to the public. Pony.ai’s version comes equipped with the company’s Gen-7 autonomous driving system, which features Bluetooth-based automatic vehicle unlocking and in-cabin voice interaction. The Morning After: DOJ may face investigation over removal of ICE agent tracking apps
The House Judiciary Committee wants the US Department of Justice to turn over all its communications with both Apple and Google regarding the companies’ decisions to remove apps that shared information about sightings of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers. YouTube TV Gets Cheaper Sports, News, and Entertainment Bundles
YouTube is splitting YouTube TV into a selection of tailored YouTube TV Plans, allowing subscribers to pay less for a smaller selection of channels. "TV should be easy," reads the blog post announcing the change.
There are 10+ new plans across Sports, News, Entertainment, and Family, at prices that are $11 to $28 below the $82.99 per month cost for a full YouTube TV subscription. New subscribers will have access to lower prices for the first three months to a year, and a 10-day trial is available. Existing subscribers can downgrade to one of the more affordable plans.
