Universal movies reach iTunes in the Cloud

Apple edged closer to having a complete iTunes in the Cloud on Saturday with previous holdout Universal adding support. Movies from the studio can now be re-downloaded on any device with an Apple ID, or streamed directly to an Apple TV. The expansion adds hundreds or more videos to those from existing supporters like Sony Pictures.

I've never found the controls on these games where I want, but word is the Payne update will offer some customization for touchscreens. Aerial shots show Apple datacenter's fuel cell, solar power

A first collection of aerial photos has shown just how Apple is expanding its Maiden, North Carolina datacenter for iCloud. The Wired images have shown the ground cleared just next to the datacenter for the upcoming Bloom Energy fuel cells to translate biogases into electricity. TextSpresso machine brews caffeinated goodness via text messaging (video)

The folks at Zipwhip may have unwittingly discovered a new business model. Jailbreak app MyWi updated, now supporting iOS 5

MyWi, an unofficial app that allows jailbroken iPhones to create hotspots without carrier approval, has been updated to version 5.5, which now supports iOS 5 users. Despite the lack of an untethered jailbreak for the latest devices, the program allows users of A4, A5 and A5X based 3G or LTE iOS devices to create and manage personal hotspots, now including Bluetooth tethering for activation of the Wi-Fi hotspot. FT: UK ad authorities investigating Apple iPad '4G' claims

Despite moves by Apple to update its website and change marketing materials making it clear that the new LTE capabilities in the latest iPad won't work on most world LTE networks, the company may not have done enough to prevent an investigation by the UK Advertising Standards Authority, which says it has received 24 complaints about references to "4G" on Apple's website which are considered "misleading" and may launch a full investigation.
