Apple TV+ subscription price increasing to $12.99 per month from today
Apple today announced that the monthly price of Apple TV+ is rising in the United States and some international markets. From today, the monthly subscription will cost $12.99, up from $9.99.

Google declares the green vs blue bubbles debate ‘silly and tired’
Today’s Made By Google event was full of interesting announcements, ranging from the new Pixel 10 lineup and the Pixel Watch 4 to impressive AI demos.
During the event (which was bizarrely hosted by Jimmy Fallon), Google’s VP of marketing Adrienne Lofton also declared the green vs blue bubbles debate “over.”

Masimo sues US Customs over Apple Watch blood oxygen workaround
Last week, when Apple announced the release of a “redesigned Blood Oxygen feature” to the Apple Watch, many figured Masimo (who had been suing Apple over patents related to the feature), would look for a way to fight back. Masimo was last to learn about blood oxygen sensing returning to Apple Watch
Apple and US Customs and Border Protection allegedly violated the law by finding a loophole in an International Trade Commission ruling that bypassed an Apple Watch sales ban — all without Masimo.Apple has briefly been able to reactivate blood oxygen detection in the United StatesThe back and forth between Masimo and Apple has been going on since 2020. After years of appeals, it seemed Apple would have to wait until a blood oxygen sensor patent expired in 2028, but then an announcement was made on August 14.Apple revealed that the blood oxygen detection feature that was banned by the US International Trade Commission due to patent infringement would return imminently. According to a new federal lawsuit filed by Masimo on August 20, covered by Bloomberg Law, that press release was the first Masimo had heard of such a deal.
