Amazon restores 5,000 IPG titles in dispute resolution

A contract negotiation dispute with Amazon in February that resulted in the removal of 5,000 titles from Independent Publishers Group(IPG) has finally been resolved following negotiations between the two, and most of the books have now been made available for Kindle again. No details on the new deal have been provided. IPG has offered to give up its own share of the sales revenue on the returned titles through the end of August to help make up for author's lost revenue.

Neuer Total Recall-Trailer im TV (Video)

Filed under: Lifestyle Der TV-Spot zum Total Recall-Remake mit Colin Farell zeigt zwar nicht allzuviel neue Szenen, macht aber mit jeder Menge Explosionen, Action und Geballer klar, dass sich Blockbuster-Freunde wahrscheinlich blendend davon unterhalten lassen werden. Das Remake hält sich strenger als Paul Verhoevens Klassiker an die Kurzgeschichte von Philip K. Dick, spart sich also unter anderem den Trip zum Mars, aber irgendwie erinnern uns die Polizisten schon ein wenig an Stromtrooper. Der Film kommt am 3. August in die Kinos, Video nach dem Break.

Letzten Freitag erschien endlich der langerwartete untethered Jailbreak für iOS 5.1.1. RIM streicht möglicherweise 2000 Stellen in den nächsten zwei Wochen

Apple updates iOS 5.1.1 release for GSM iPhone 4 only

Apple updated its recently-released iOS 5.1.1 edition today for one specific iPhone model without changing the version number, likely representing only a minor bugfix in the new release. The update, which is distinguished by its build number (9B208 instead of the 9B206 built that was distributed), did not come with any release notes.
