T-Mobile Enhanced Voice Services claimed to improve call quality

T-Mobile is aiming to improve the quality of audio in calls made across its network, by introducing "next-generation voice technology" for some of its users. Named Enhanced Voice Services, the technology is claimed to provide a higher fidelity of call than HD Voice, a feature the carrier introduced to its subscribers in 2013, with EVS also having the potential to improve calls for people located in areas with weaker reception of the phone network.
