Apple granted patent for stackable, magnetic connectors

Apple may be looking for ways to get multiple items to connect to the same single port on iOS devices and Macs, according to a recently-published patent. Awarded by the United States Patent and Trademark Office earlier today, the patent for a "Stackable magnetically-retained connector interface" (9,300,083) suggests that the plugs for two or more peripherals could be placed on top of each other before being connected to a Mac or iPad.
