OWC Holdings has released SoftRAID 5.1 (www.softraid.com), an update to the disk driver for OS X that replaces the RAID functionality that was removed from Disk Utility in El Capitan.
Version 5.1 supports the enhanced security mechanisms in Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan. It’s a free update for all version 5.x users of SoftRAID.
For new users the cost is $179. Upgrades from version 4.x users to version 5.1 are $89. A demo is available for download. SoftRAID 5.1 requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 or higher.
