Addonics unveils host adapter with up to 20 Gbps throughput

Addonics Technologies (www.addonics.com) today announced the 6G 4-port eSATA controller, a high performance host adapter that provides total throughput of up to 20 Gbps (20,000 Mbps) via single PCIe 4-lane slot. The Addonics’ controller supports any SATA hard drive, SSDs or optical drive. All drives appear as individual drives and can be configured to form a RAID group using the RAID utility of the operating system. By attaching four high performance SSDs, a high performance, large capacity storage system can be created by stripping the four drives using the OS RAID utility. read more
