Europe lets airlines operate 3G and LTE services during flights
Having just digested the news that they'll soon be able to use personal electronics during takeoff and landing, European fliers have another rule change to get excited about. The European Commission (EC) has approved the use of 3G and 4G networks on flights in European airspace, allowing airlines to decide whether they want to use these networks to boost internet access for passengers.
