After a week, iOS 7 runs more than half of Apple's mobile devices

Analytics and advertising firms tracking Apple's new mobile operating system iOS 7 said today that its uptake has been 14% fster than last year's iOS 6.Boston-based Fiksu, an iOS and Android app marketing firm, said that as of early today, iOS 7 powered 58.3% o all Apple mobile devices accessing its clients' apps. That was a significantly higher percentage than 2012's iOS 6 or 2011's iOS 5 after the same length of time since their public releases.iOS 6 had grabbed a 47.5% sare in the same stretch, while iOS 5 had accounted for just 27.2% i the same timeframe.Meanwhile, mobile advertising company Chitika of Westborough, Mass., updated earlier data and said that 51.8% o the Apple mobile devices accessing the ad networks servers early today were running iOS 7.By comparison, Chitika had pegged iOS 6's one-week uptake at 47%.Mixpanel, a San Francisco-based mobile app analytics vendor
