Twitter has updated the iOS app for its social network with several additions, most notably integrated two-step authentication. Rather than use a phone number, Twitter subscribers can now sign up for authentication via the combination of the app and push messaging. Backup codes are generated in case a device is lost, and whenever a login request is made, Twitter will supply details of the person's browser and rough location.
