Yesterday at SXSW, Marvel Comics announced a new promotion that offers more than 700 first issues from the company's history at no charge. The free comics can be downloaded from within the Marvel and Comixology iOS apps, as well as from the web based Marvel Digital Comics Shop. The promotion covers a mix of recent comics such as Uncanny Avengers, Civil War, and Avengers VS. X-Men, alongside classic issues like Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, and Captain America. Marvel encourages customers to download as many of the free issues as they can before the promotion ends at 11pm EST on March 12.
