IK Multimedia has launched a new collection of Jimi Hendrix inspired gear for its AmpliTube software. Built to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Hendrix's birthday, the new collection includes 4 amps, 7 cabinets, 5 microphones, 10 stomp boxes, and 4 rack effects. The full version of AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix Anniversary Collection is available for $100, while previous users of AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix and AmpliTube 3 are entitled to an upgrade price of $40. Each of the new models will also be made available within the Custom Shop with prices ranging from 20 to 30 Gear Credits.
