THX launches tune-up calibration app for iPhone, iPad

Movie standards firm THX has released THX tune-up, its first iOS title. The app is meant to help calibrate TVs, speakers, and projectors, using an interactive configuration process. When checking video for instance, tune-up can use a device's camera to check for accurate color and tint. The software also makes suggestions for adjusting brightness, contrast, and aspect ratios.
