Autodesk is now shipping Smoke 2013, the latest version of its editing and effects suite for the Mac. Aside from basic editing, the software can handle tasks like motion graphics, color correction, and 3D compositing. The 2013 edition brings in a new user interface, including the ConnectFX compositing system, which uses a node-based scheme designed to keep work within the main editing environment.
