Speck is now taking orders for its new SmartShell for Appleís MacBook Pro with Retina Display. The company seems to have acknowledged a frequent complaint with previous versions of its snap-on hard protective covers, which while effective, were on slightly thick and heavy. Speck says that its new SmartShell for the MacBook Pro with Retina Display is 30 percent thinner than previous versions.
