Gmail iOS app updates with notifications, alternate senders

Google has released an important update of its Gmail client for iOS. The main change is the addition of Notification Center support, which enables banners, alerts, and lockscreen pop-ups for messages. When composing email users now also have the option of picking a different "send as" address, so long as the address is already configured in Gmail.
