AT&T says third-gen iPad beat single-day sales record

The launch of the third-generation iPad on Friday broke AT&T's single-day sales and activations record for a new iPad model, the carrier has announced. Like Apple, though, AT&T has declined to release specific numbers. The other official US iPad carrier, Verizon, has yet to make any sort of statement.
