Samsung is currently the only display supplier for the third-generation iPad, claims Vinita Jakhanwal, a senior manager with research firm IHS iSuppli. Two other companies in the running, Sharp and LG Display, allegedly failed to meet Apple's quality requirements. "The display specifications on the new iPad are very demanding in terms of the very high resolution," says Jakhanwal.
