Study: unofficial apps 'leak' data less than approved ones

The Path privacy scandal -- where the social networking application was caught uploading users' entire address books without permission -- has revealed a serious privacy loophole in mobile applications. A recent study finds that in fact, unofficial iOS apps are more careful with user privacy than "approved" apps.
