CEO Tim Cook reportedly stated that Apple had donated $50 million to Stanford's hospitals, split evenly between a new main building and a new children's hospital. The executive also bragged about Apple's position as the largest contributor to (PRODUCT)RED; some proceeds from a small group of Apple products go to the charity, which helps fight AIDS in Africa.
