Apparent planned to step up portable scanning on Tuesday with the Doxie Go. The small, 600DPI reader takes a different approach with its own storage and syncs like a camera, uploading its results over USB if it's talking directly to a computer. It also has a unique option of syncing to iOS devices: an optional Sync kit add-on pushes scans directly to the Camera Roll on one of Apple's devices, which in turn can sync with iCloud.
