Forum roundup: Time Machine slow in Lion

Today in the MacNN forums mkerr64 started a thread looking for some ideas about what might be happening to cause Time Machine to run slow on Lion, click here to join in. Fresh-Faced Recruit ampa is looking at either getting an i7 MacBook Pro or an entry level Mac Pro, but isn't sure what option would be best for them and has turned to the forums for some advice.
