Firemint has brought 1080p dual-screen gaming to the iPad with Real Racing 2 HD in an iPad 2 first. Firemint have been able to use Appleís new digital TV adapter for the iPad 2 with HDMI output to allow the main gaming image to be displayed on an HD TV, while simultaneously showing an alternative image from the game on the iPad 2. In this application, the iPad 2 still works as the motion controller with full gyro support, while the secondary image displayed on the iPad 2 is a map of the track and other telemetry from the racing game including lap times.
