Adobe has previewed new capabilities for the company's Flash Media Server platform, which will enable users to stream content to the iPad and other devices that do not directly support Flash-based media. The system uses a new format, HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), that works as a MPED2 transport container supported by devices such as the iPad.
