Bongiovi Acoustics has introduced DPS, an iTunes plug-in designed to enhance sound on Mac computers. DPS is claimed to improve the quality of compressed audio files such as MP3 or AAC, with adjustments to dialogue and sound effects for movies or television playback. Features include the ability to increase bass response on small speakers, support for detecting and compensating for volume differences within songs, and compatibility with various audio accessories including headphones and speakers.
