Quanta Computer, which supplies Apple and HP, will build a smartbook, according to a Tuesday report. The idea is for a "computer in an iPhone form factor," according to Quanta Chairman Barry Lam, who also added the company is seeking more strategic investments to keep making a profit. The smartbook will rely on a 3.5-inch touchscreen display and will have the ability to make voice calls as well as access the Internet.
