How to Install Non-Supported Scanner in Snow Leopard

Hereafter is a report from one of our readers: I might be the only one, but with the recent migration to 10.6, I could not install the good old scanner Epson Perfection 1650 which work working perfectly with Mac OS X 10.5. It seems that from different Epson websites, no updated installer have been released yet. So, with Snow Leopard, I am experiencing problems, especially with Epson Scan (v.2.77 and b).But I tried a last chance procedure: I re-installed it on a Mac OS X 10.5-running computer, then I copied manually and to the corresponding addresses/folders all the required files (Apps, Application Support, Profile Color Sync, etc.) onto my SL-powered Mac. It works! So, is it the installer for 10.6 which is bugged? One can also imagine that Epson is trying to push users away from old models as they do not want to support them anymore on a recent OW. So, you are the key to try tis procedure if you need it.
