Even though we get this type of announcement regularly, TDK is separated here by the hardware requirement for reading and burning these media. It practically the same as found in devices currently being marketed.  Of course, the principal difficulty remains to know how to manufacture this stacking of layers; these must be rather transparent so that one can reach the intermediate layers while also being opaque enough so that one can read the data on these layers. At the moment this remains only something created in the laboratory.
