Sony Unveils a 3D Camcorder

Another proof that many companies are working hard to quickly integrate of 3D technologies in the video chain. Sony just unveiled a camcorder able to record in 3D on a single pass with a single optical system whereas most 3D camcorders are based on a dual lenses. Here the image is separated thanks to a set of mirrors, while captures is carried out at 240 fps: Sony will now push further the entertainment industry to adopt such camcorder in order to create 3D contents and further justify the purchase of new HD TV models supporting 3D rendering (including also BD players).
