8.6% of iPhones are jailbroken, stats suggest...

Almost one-in-ten iPhones have been jailbroken, new data from analytics company, Pinch Media, reveals. The company claims an estimated 8.6% of iPhones are jailbroken - up from 8.43% one month ago. Pinch Media adds that of the nearly 1 million new iPhones they recorded with their analytic software last week, 17.1% were jailbroken. We expected an increase in frequency of jailbreaking following the release of the iPhone 3GS. We think the carriers must carry the can for their part in this - it’s not all Apple’s problem.
