AT&T Activated 2.4 millions iPhones for Q2 2009

AT&T announced to have activated 2.4 million iPhone units for the last quarter (Q@ 2009). This is a new record for both Apple and AT&T. During the same quarter, the carrier captured 1.4 millions new customers, a 30% increase over last year. Not all figures are unveiled yet, but as last year, the iPhone has been a key factor for driving AT&T growth, and one now better understand why the carrier is fighting so hard to obtain the extension of its exclusive partnership with Apple.
