Apple is marking the first anniversary of the iTunes App Store, which launched shortly before the debut of iPhone 2.0 and the iPhone 3G on July 11th. As a promotion the company is highlighting what it calls some of its "favorite" apps, including general-purpose titles like Ocarina, Starmap, Shazam and BeeJiveIM. Some games mentioned include Rolando, Flight Control and Monopoly.
